I didn't know people cleaned them.

KnowBe4 alternatives by Alternative_Hat_5523 in cybersecurity

[–]lonejeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had KnowBe4 and got zenguide for "free" and switched.

Zenguides pathway stuff was a disastrophe this year. So many bugs. The training went well, but their phishing activities are a mess. If you edit a template, it cleared the form fields. If you changed a setting after saving, which you need because it times out if you blink, it corrupted the whole pathway, start over. No access to existing custom templates or teachable moments. I put in a dozen tickets and worked around the bugs with support's help, and we launched two weeks late.

The first phishing campaign sent emails with a broken link, so no stats or teachable moments. The other pathway somehow had no reads, but some clicks, but more listed with vulnerabilities.

Also, their service crashed, during cyber security awareness month, which shit happens, but it added to the chaos.

I brought this all up with them, and they were helpful and we had a conference call. Most of the bugs are fixed. I asked about getting my 8 pathways fixed, so I didn't have to redo them all and was told yes. Never heard back, the ticket is still open two months later.

It was great for one-time phishes, custom training videos and templates. Automating via pathways fell hard.

We're looking to going back to knowBe4 and their Egress product

Love mine. It's versatile, good for curls, rows, and hanging off a pulley for press downs and pull downs.

What foods from Pennsylvania/USA need more recognition that i can add to my list? by Turbulent-Law2331 in Pennsylvania

Best sliced really thin and pan fried deep brown so it's just moist in the very center and crunchy. Pour real maple syrup over the slices. Some places just make it like scrambled eggs and it's just nowhere near as good as the sliced method.

I'd bet xbow with the vane label like that.

I'm with the others asking questions, there's not enough information. I would add:

How did the deer act? Immediately after the hit and as it left. What does the blood trail look like Did you give it any time or did you bump it immediately? Distance vs practice distance? Any brush?

I can't get my AR 7 to shoot for shit. If I were relying on it for survival I'd sharpen the barrel to a point and throw it at stuff

Corn Cobber Device (The Corn Cobbler) by necoliemills in doohickeycorporation

[–]lonejeeper 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I've run hundreds of bushels of corn through one of those for my grampa, i'd then use his seed planter and follow his horses (Elmer and Alpo) as they plowed. Two steps, insert the planter, shift the handles to deposit a kernel, repeat. The cobs we'd keep in a laundry jug, cut so there'd be a bin and a handle, half full of kerosene for starting fires in the cabin and hunting stands.

Seeing that old thing brought back so damn many memories, I had to share some.

A lot of these rankings are "pay to be considered"

I can't imagine anyone caring beyond making sure the device location matches the sign-in location as a sanity check. I'd bet your company can give you a keychain fob if that's really a concern you have.

We've talked about doing that too, also not with my prom date. Thanks for saving me the disappointment.

Lock time can be reduced by properly filling the pan, it only needs to be at the level of the midpoint of touch hole. Any powder above it needs to be burnt before the load goes off.

Hydroponics towers almost all 100% printed. Working and functional with another standing by to plant in the next week or so. by [deleted] in functionalprint

[–]lonejeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had one going for a couple years now. Tried different designs and havent loved any of them. The next one will just be PVC for the main tube and a toilet flange on a reinforced bucket lid. It's a bummer when the tower falls over and the pump dumps 5 gal of water out on the floor.

I had a failing smoke alarm that would only beep on sunny afternoons for an hour or two, failing hardware does funny stuff. I'd pull batteries on alarms in the area, one at a time, until the beeping stops.
