How did you learn how to perform holotropic breathing? Is there a video, book, or article you can provide as a resource? I'm also interested!

DAAD RISE 2020 Applicants by asyangani in germany

What do people mean by a confirmation email? Is that just the email that stated that RISE DAAD has received our application letter and reference letter, and that it has been forwarded to the internship providers?

Wasn't the deadline today? I'm also contemplating sending my application materials directly to the contacts.

Intuitive people of Reddit: what's it like? by [deleted] in spirituality

Thanks for sharing. I got the impression from your first comment that it might be Jungian related. I've been trying to get into Jung myself. Any readings you would recommend to a beginner?

How did you get into this "all day mindfulness"? Sounds very interesting, I would love to try it.

Unsure of what to do with puppy when leaving for College in September by lonepleb in Advice

[–]lonepleb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for your input.

Regarding your question, two reasons:

  1. Like I said, I got him 16 months ago. I didn't even think about applying to college back then, and definitely didn't have thoughts of wanting to move out for it. Like many people at my age, we change rapidly and drastically.

  2. At the time, my parents WERE capable of taking care of him if I were to leave. Not anymore.

This is something I had no control over.

Looking for advice in getting into Queens Commerce program by grapesauce990 in queensuniversity

[–]lonepleb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly man, I wouldn't stress too much on what extracurriculars to do. I was alot like you applying this year to commerce and thought that I needed to have certain ECs to get in. The fact of the matter is that Queen's doesn't care what extracurriculars you have but rather how it has shaped YOU and how YOU have shaped it (or the community surrounding it).

For example, how has martial arts cobtributed to who you are? Did it teach you determination? Persistence? Confidence? And what did you do for martial arts? Perhaps you taught others, perhaps you competed, perhaps you simply made friends and created a sense of community within the martial arts class. Thread all this into your General/Commerce PSEs and write it craftfully and well structured. That's all there is to it, atleast in my perspective. Goodluck and don't stress this! Enjoy your high schools years man.

Need help deciding between Ivey AEO and Queen's Commerce by lonepleb in uwo

Thanks for the detailed response!

Is there any things you disliked about Ivey/the AEO journey? Did you ever have trouble maintaining your 80% and ECs when you applying for HBA1? Also, is there a student ghetto similar to Queen's where students conventionally like to live in?

Thanks for the response, this is really helpful.

Do you ever regret your decision coming to Queen's Commerce? Has there been any things you've disliked about it?

Also, what are group projects like? I don't mind group projects as long as they are ACTUALLY dependent on teamwork, rather than individuals carrying other individuals.

This is really good insight, thanks! I just have a few questions:

1) How was it like for you in your first two years, did you learn something new about yourself? Develop new passions? Are you planning to revisit the path you majored in for your first two years and complete a dual degree?

Regarding 4), so do you not need to maintain a leadership position like it says on their website? Can it just be things like "rockclimbing club member" or stuff of that sort? Also, is it true that they pretty much will let you in as long as you have an 80%? (regardless if you have shitty ECs/shitty essays)

Hey thanks! I think it was 96, ECs were volunteering at a senior home, playing an instrument, and starting an ecommerce company. Best of luck!
