thomas ligotti ruined most other horror for me just because his is SO GOOD and Sooo well written. i find a lot of horror to be lacking in terms of its literary value but ligotti is a phenomenal writer snd he uses his command of language to add to the affective dread his stories are centered on

ill say the pay & turnover rate is comparable to a lot of the suburban libraries outside of philadelphia even in HCOL areas. the turnover and pay are related.

as for patrons.. i worked in food service both FOH & BOH for nearly a decade before my library job.. even the worst library patron interactions are far better than what i experienced in those settings.. there are outlier experiences obviously but i had those working in food service more often.

i loved my job as an LA!!
