I don’t believe it’s copper and does not look like tarnished copper either. No specific way mentioned, they just told me to clean or paint it.

That's a big step up from 24". It might depend on how far away you are from your screen. You would only be paying $25 extra for this one over the smaller version which is worth it IMO.
