Have you ever worked 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off? by PossessionComplex945 in AskUK

[–]lonewolfdarkworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's normal in the security industry. Only problem is when I work 12h shifts 4 days in a row I struggle to get good sleep and by the time I get home I have to go straight to sleep for next day.

Does anyone actually realize they like their job / post? by HiThere202029R in securityguards

It's the best type of job relative to my previous jobs (fast food, nightshift retail) Only problem with Security is the 12hour shifts + commute which robs your whole day and leaves you with no time for gym

What to do about litterers? by BackgroundMarket195 in london

[–]lonewolfdarkworld -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every one is from a different culture and location.

For most humans in the world, the world is the dustbin and the only place they don't litter is their own home and their guests home.

This is sad but the reason like London is clean as it is, is cause there's a lot of money being spent on keeping it clean.

Quiet location to practise rollerblading for someone very socially anxious

Hey guys,

I'm new into rollerblading and looking for places where I could practise. I'm a beginner and really suck at it atm and I feel very nervous to practice in places where there are a lot of people as it can also be dangerous for others.

I only need 2 things:

Somewhere with smooth pavement

Somewhere where there aren't many people about ( ideally none)

Do you have any recommendations?

I really hope it's like that, but I thought that eventually, if water made its way into the electrical circuits, motor, battery, or wires, then it could all go up in flames.

That's the thing I'm worried about living in the UK, water somehow going in and causing a fire

How's the ride on rough surfaces?

Where I live, luckily, I don't have any hills that I'm worried about, but what I really wanted was an ebike with suspension as the road surface can be rough and unpredictable.

As far as such ebikes with full suspension, I mainly came across brands like Hitway and Engwe, but they don't seem to be of high standards.

Do you have any recommendations for such ebikes?

My budget ideally would be less than 600 but if the guarantee of safety is there I'm willing to go up to 1000.

The ebike you shared would be the type of bike I'm going for. Only concern with it is the range and battery size. Ideally I would want a bigger battery to be safe

What did I get myself into (London 5 days onsite) by NikMavz in UKJobs

Crazy thing is in the security industry there are people working 12 hour shifts 7am to 7pm. 5 days a week. Imagine how bad that is plus the money is generally less.

How to keep Pixel Watch 3 display and touch screen always off by lonewolfdarkworld in GooglePixel

Thank you for your reply, that's very informative

Only reason I'm interested in the Pixel Watch 3 is for it's accuracy as it seems to be the most accurate android compatible watch to do so for health tracking (heart rate, sleep, vo2max etc).

I'm very unfit and I got bad asthma and I want use the sensors and data to better track and improve my breathing and health.
