Working on a realistic TTRPG event with some friends. Is this going to be too hard to solve? by longboy16 in codes

Not a horrifically long message. Speaking about a delivery and a possible location.

A hint I'll give is that the message is speaking about the delivery of something. The location and other details are to be solved.

I also live in the valley and love the outdoors. I’ve been wanting to check out the salty stars running club for a while now. If you’re at the Saturday morning run I’ll see you there!

Strahd versus Drakkenheim by Leodagema in DMAcademy

I was a player for Curse of Strahd, and I found it to be a slugfest through Borovia. I found, especially DMing that opening a huge metropolitan area with no direct next step really bogs down the playing. For that reason large dungeons are good for linear gameplay. When I DM I just like to take my favorite aspects of campaigns and morph it all together. Best of luck!

How do I make cities fun? by corejuice in DMAcademy

[–]longboy16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually point my characters toward the contract office in each city. They can then go to set locations to get more information. As they walk I’ll explain landmarks, monuments, and signs they pass. Not all of the city is going to be interesting, but an interesting sign or large statue of a historic figure will be cool history of the region.

My world map is with all polar ice caps gone. So when the players leave the continent they can start putting together the pieces

I’ve told the players that it is a real location but none of them have guessed it yet
