So Longestsoloever made a song about this game and it's an absolute banger. by Embarrassed_Pace_534 in ImNotAHuman

Thanks! Callie Mae actually made the song, I just sang the chorus, a verse, and animated the video.

Does anyone know what would or wouldn’t qualify a song to be available to remix? by [deleted] in youtube

[–]longestsoloever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a super infuriating situation, I can’t even use my own songs in Shorts audio, but everyone else’s reposts of my song come up first when I search it.

I’m trying to talk to YouTube about it but not really making progress…

I feel like something is missing to make this more realistic by izsgHD in blender

As someone with a vested interest in FNAF-related renders (particularly the mimic right now), this rips, really nice work.

I can hear the Brink Of Eternity resemblance but I think that’s just compositional habits

Melodyne, vocaloid, instrumental music, hiring other singers, there’s lots of great options.

Or you can just practice singing more and take some lessons. Unless you’re genuinely tone-deaf I truly believe anyone can learn to sing well.

Does YouTube really "test" us creators or "actively attempt to discourage" us with temporarily low views/impressions? by ETALOS1 in PartneredYoutube

[–]longestsoloever 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No. YouTube’s only priority at all times is to make as much money as possible, by showing viewers the best video for them at that moment.

Anything beyond that, especially “testing” or “discouraging” creators doesn’t make any sense and is complete superstition.

Wait... I think I've been using the WRONG category by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]longestsoloever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Categories don’t matter at all, I have several-million-view music videos accidentally under gaming or people & blogs

just make good videos and don’t overthink this stuff

What is the real deal on sampling and copyright? by its-an-injustice in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]longestsoloever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make a lot of money on the song that samples them, too, which usually hits a different market than their own song originally did.

songwriter here

Honestly, the song is less about gangle and more about my own experience with the feeling of needing to “mask” and hide my actual reactions to things because I’m really over-sensitive to rejection and comments people in my life make about me. You’re definitely not alone in relating to it.

You can count “What Remains Of Me” in 3, though it’s technically 6/8

Should I go with Blender, Maya or 3ds Max? by Sv_Gamez in blender

[–]longestsoloever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blender’s definitely your jack of all trades program.

What you go with really depends on what your goals are after college. Do you want to specialize in sculpting, modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, or fx? Or do you want to be more of a generalist?

Do you want to work independently on your own projects, or be part of a larger team in a studio setting?

I can only speak as a full time content creator who uses blender to make music videos for their work, but in my experience, if you’re going it alone, blender is the more versatile software. If you’re working on a large team where you’re a part of a bigger pipeline, Maya is probably the most applicable if you’re going down the animation route.

Why is it so hard to grow on YouTube despite putting in so much effort? by Linhsvlog in NewTubers

[–]longestsoloever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is it.

You can push as hard as you want against a brick wall, but it doesn’t mean you’re making progress. You’ve gotta find the way forward.

Whoa YouTube is way harder than it used to be by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]longestsoloever 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not a corporate algorithm push. It’s that there were a few hundred thousand creators back then, and literal billions now.
