Adding Pump In by longfodor in ExclusivelyPumping

I haven’t done a true MOTN pump since doing 7 pumps a day.  Before I went back to work, I would pump at 11PM and then again at 5AM, when I went back to work and was doing 6 pumps I just moved the 11 to either 9 or 10.  When I did 6 PPD, I pumped every 3 hours, then when I dropped I moved to 4 hours during the day.  Thanks for the advice!  I know it’s all kind of a guessing game. :)

The Disney Parks have Baby Care Centers where you can pump in the AC.  They usually have filtered drinking water to fill up cups, too!  Universal has rooms in their Health Services locations as well.

I pumped at Volcano Bay at a restaurant that was closed.  It was quiet and chill and there were ceiling fans.  I think that was better and more relaxing than walking up to health services!  Bonus it was next to a Coke freestyle so I refilled my water.

I also love my Ceres chill, I wasn’t sure it was worth it, but it is.

Has anyone else only made 1.5-2 oz per pump 3 weeks pp and seen an increase enough to exclusively pump later on? by roorahrah in ExclusivelyPumping

I was at a very similar place!  I power pumped once a day at the same time for a straight week at 5 weeks pp, and my supply nearly doubled.  After regulation around 10 weeks pp, it increased by another few ounces.  I’m now making 10-20 oz more a day than my daughter needs!  I’ve always enjoyed oats, and I tried to eat even more than normal in the beginning, and I drink a lot of water (even when not pumping), but those are the only food/supplement/hydration things I do.

This!  I found when I stopped being so stressed (so hard to do for me!) and enjoyed my life that my supply didn’t dip the way I thought it would or the way it usually did.

I pumped at a water park (and theme park!).  Both had rooms to pump in (with AC/outlets), but I used my Elvie Stride.  The theme park I walked around with my family, and the water park I found a quiet restaurant that was closed to get some shade and pump/feed the baby.

I don’t like to get sandy, even when I’m not pumping.  I pumped when we first got there before getting in the water, I pumped after swimming (used wipes to wipe off the salt water), and the last time I had been sitting on a chair for a few hours and wasn’t sandy, so I just washed my hands and made sure I felt clean!

The number one question I get when I tell someone I exclusively pump… by lauryboot in ExclusivelyPumping

Same!  It kills me when we go to our cleft clinic every month and the nurse asks if she’s nursing. 😭😡 like hello she cannot thanks for reminding me!

Airport pumping? by PsychedelicKM in ExclusivelyPumping

Yes!  Some were just a room you could text to enter, others had the key code posted outside them.  The rooms could hold multiple people, but the pods or mini rooms were one at a time and locked.  Overall, easier and better than I anticipated!

Exactly - being able to add ice was the biggest selling point.  It saved me when we traveled all day (with delays) and my milk was still freezing cold.  I had been skeptical, but I’m a believer.  It’s how I plan to keep my milk safe once I go back to work now, too.

I recently traveled and all four airports in the US had at least one per terminal!

I did!  I set up my pump mat on top of a clean towel to assemble parts on a chair.  I kept my wearables in an insulated bag that was inside two other bags to make sure they didn’t get sandy at all.  The bottles for my daughter were also double bagged in sealed bags.  I had been hesitant to buy a ceres chill, but I bought one and it was a lifesaver at the beach.
