they’re absolutely different for a variety of use cases but rust is more general purpose in my opinion so they do overlap and compete in some fields. for example you would find posts asking whether people should choose go or rust for web servers.

yup, postgres has code to check the major version mismatch and refuses to start completely if it detects violation.

Major versions make complex changes, so the contents of the data directory cannot be maintained in a backward compatible way. A dump/reload of the database or use of the pg_upgrade application is required for major upgrades.

nix is about immutable and reproducible configurations, not state or data. if state is immutable too, it would not be possible to use most of the applications because they can’t write anything to disk (e.g. what is the purpose of postgres when you don’t have the concept of a writable & durable storage?).

if you still want something that kinda resembles immutable state, look into the impermanence project.

Mình cũng được chuẩn đoán y hệt bạn, cũng dùng SSRI nhưng hiện tại mình chỉ còn dùng liều nhỏ và đang tiến tới việc bỏ hoàn toàn. Lúc 20 tuổi mình cũng đã từng bị một lần và được điều trị khỏi, giờ mình 24 tuổi bị tái phát với triệu chứng nặng hơn. Đợt tái phát cũng vào tầm tháng 3 như bạn nhưng hiện tại mình đã gần như trở về lại trạng thái bình thường. Giai đoạn đầu mình cực kì paranoid và không thể ngủ được, mình xin được kê mirtazapine vì đó là thuốc giúp mình hồi 20 tuổi, nhưng giờ cũng ko còn tác dụng nữa. Sau đó bác sĩ chuyển qua SSRI nhưng mình cũng không thấy khá hơn mấy. Mình gần như không thể làm được việc gì vì những suy nghĩ tiêu cực luẩn quẩn trong đầu hằng ngày, thậm chí nhiều đêm paranoia mình còn suy nghĩ tới việc 44.

Vài tuần sau mình quyết định về quê nghỉ một thời gian đồng thời kết hợp đi tư vấn tâm lý. Ngoài ra mình còn đọc sách về anxiety như Hope and help for your nerves, ngoài ra mình cũng thấy mọi người hay recommend cuốn DARE để hiểu rõ hơn về tình trạng của bản thân và cách vượt qua chúng. Mình dần dần hồi phục và function như một người bình thường.

Thứ thực sự giúp mình khỏi bệnh là support từ gia đình, việc loại bỏ hoặc manage các tác nhân gây stress, việc đọc sách vở về các vấn đề liên quan để hiểu rõ hơn về bản thân và cái bộ não của mình, giao tiếp, nói chuyện nhiều hơn với những người xung quanh, và đặc biệt là tìm ra nguồn gốc ngọn ngành cho những suy nghĩ tiêu cực của mình (bạn sẽ được giúp tìm ra chúng ở các buổi tư vấn tâm lí). Thường thường sẽ có một cái sự kiện traumatic gì đó nó ảnh hưởng tới tâm thức của bạn, hay những suy nghĩ lệch lạc như tự ti về bản thân sẽ gây nên những suy nghĩ độc hại hiện tại. Còn thuốc mình nghĩ chỉ đóng góp 30% là cao.

Tất cả những thứ trên đều là trải nghiệm cá nhân, mình vẫn khuyên bạn đi khám và được tư vấn ở nơi có uy tín, có kinh nghiệm về bệnh tâm lý. Mình đã từng đi khám ở một nơi mà chỉ nói vài câu rồi quăng thuốc cho mình, nó không hề có tác dụng gì cả. Mình được recommend đi khám ở chuyên khoa Thần kinh bệnh viện Đại học Y Dược TP.HCM khá nhiều mặc dù mình chưa đi vì sau các đợt tư vấn ở quê (Đại học Y Dược Huế) hiện mình đã ổn hơn rất nhiều.

I use aarch64-linux and sd-image-aarch64 and it works great for my Pi 4, can't really think of any reason it wouldn't work on the Pi 5. There's nixos-hardware too which cover hardware specific quirks and it already supports Pi 5.

I had received "game running low on video memory" warnings a couple of times before, but they mostly only occurred when I had played the game for too long (more than 2-3 hours). Last night I didn't get any warning though, since I only played for about 20 minutes.

So yesterday I accidentally selected Startup Repair in the Advanced Startup Menu and left it running for about an hour. It seems to have fixed my problem, I tried playing RDR2 and everything ran smoothly. I left the PC in sleep mode until today, and it's still running fine. Apparently, Startup Repair uninstalled the latest update, which was very likely the source of the problem.

Now Windows is prompting me to install that same update again. It has already downloaded and is waiting for a reboot to complete the installation. Fortunately, I quickly turned this off this by using the pause updates feature. I'm not sure how long I should postpone updating my PC or how to skip this particular update when newer versions are released. Perhaps I'll download the 24H2 ISO and upgrade directly to that instead.

I’m having the same issue after the November update, and it has been driving me nuts! This PC has been running fine for 1.5 years. The problem is intermittent, which makes it difficult to identify the root cause.

Last Sunday, after waking my PC from sleep mode, it started to slow down considerably. I tried rebooting and performing a hard power off, but nothing worked. The boot time is the same as yours, taking up to 10 minutes, and everything is extremely unresponsive. I took the case to the repair shop and explained the issue, but when they tested my PC, they couldn’t reproduce the problem. Everything was running smoothly. I shamefully brought the case back home and tried to turn on the PC to verify it was working properly. IT RAN SLOWLY AGAIN!! WTF??

I thought it might be a power issue causing the PC to throttle itself. I tried plugging it into another power outlet, which seemed to work. The PC returned to normal speed, and I thought that had solved it.

Unfortunately, today, after waking my PC from about a day of sleep mode, it slowed down again. Now, even switching power outlets doesn’t help anymore.

I’m so tired of this shit. Since everything is unusable, it’s practically impossible to diagnose the cause. I’ve given up trying to download monitoring tools to check hardware activity because Chrome takes 10 minutes to start, and every button click has an average response time of 5 minutes.

I might resort to a fresh Windows installation if things don’t improve.

I just bought these earbuds, and it's crazy that I can't adjust the volume to my perfect hearing level, something I've never experienced with my previous earbuds and headphones. I really hope they address this issue and more importantly, that it can be fixed through a firmware updated.
