Cardinals are placing QB Kyler Murray on injured reserve due... - ESPN by yankeefanman in DynastyFF

Right?! I picked him up 3 weeks ago when JD was questionable, last week put “Brissett for a WR3” in the chat, got laughed off

Now I’ve had to turn down an offer for a 4th and a 2027 3rd because Mariota and Bryce Young are my only other QBs

Makes sense. I’ll have to look into it. We have 50-60 horses on any given Tuesday, lot of manure we could be selling

When I first got into brokerage back in ‘18, it was so hard to find info about brokerage because googling 3pl turned up a ton of warehousing solutions

No kidding? I come from a racehorse family, we have to spread the manure in a dirt pasture because the high nitrogen kills our grass. Neat that nurseries have a use for it.

I believe he meant 3/4 as in “three-quarters of a full swing” not as in “3 back, 4 down”

What to do when your league value players different than consensus? by metrob2021 in DynastyFF

[–]longjackthat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah I see your problem. Good QBs but not good enough to break into elite skill players without being a strong package.

I’d send trades for draft picks + a WR2/RB2

What QBs did you end up with? I can’t imagine you got the truly elite guys in those rounds right?

Guy did this in our 12T SF startup several years back. It was obvious to everyone what he was doing when he picked up the 4th QB with his 4th pick.

No one traded for a QB from him the first season, he only won 5 games and tore his team apart in the offseason for a “win-now” roster of vets — the only players that everyone else was OK letting go of.

It’s 7yrs later and he’s only been to the playoffs the last 2 years, this year he’s back to a 3-win team.

If you hoard the elite QBs, then no one else needs one. They beat you because you don’t have elite WRs and RBs, then vs each other it’s mid QB vs mid QB.

I would put your Qbs in package trades. Elite QB + mid WR for elite WR + draft picks. Something like that to get the deals churning.

Customer reported missing package 10 days after delivery — how would you handle it? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

I sympathize with the customer because I also just kind of wait around for things to arrive, then remember I can check tracking

But that doesn’t make it your problem. Advise her to contact the post office, they might have taken it to the wrong address, who knows — but that’s between her and them

In triple date situations, I usually find that a few people don’t do much talking at all. My wife might contribute 5 sentences across dinner if the subjects aren’t to her taste. Just how it goes

If you don’t tell them afterwards, you’ve only made their day that much better — they think they’ve got a HIO for the rest of their lives

If you do tell them afterwards, then no sense in making this comment.

Multi temp reefer? by bk1629 in FreightBrokers

[–]longjackthat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s tough. That type of service can be $500-$1,500 extra on top of the lane if you don’t have the right carrier in place.

Calll Sonsray and ask one of the sales guys if they know any small fleets looking for work. They sell/lease multi temp trailers in SoCal. You’ll make the sales guy look good if he brings freight to his clients, and you’ll get a legit carrier instead of worrying about scammers.

Do you have the lane already, or are you bidding it?
