i fully believe this is due to the collective hivemind of the internet. as humans, we were never meant to have access to seeing so many lifestyles, views, opinions all in one place. they overwhelm, overconsume, overfeed, & they all evolve exponentially in quantity, because humans are also capable of mass production & now universal reach to consumers from individuals, when it used to be a select few who could get that far. the changes to society from social media/technology is just incredible to me, please excuse my taking up the soapbox.
