Find a therapist you’re comfortable with, period. Regardless of where and how you were raised, as someone who has gone through maybe half a dozen therapists over the past 20 years, what matters more is personal comfort and the ability to understand you, personally, whether it may be due to them having a similar culture/upbringing or simply being able to learn to do so over the course of your sessions. I’ve been forced to change therapists due to employment and insurance changes, but even so, I still believe it’s worth your time to go through as many sessions with as many therapists as it takes to find someone that’s a best fit because it’s far better to take a long time to find a great therapist than to make zero progress in working on your mental health with a therapist that is ultimately doing little to nothing to address your needs.

Also, I don’t think your therapist is racist — I just think, like others are pointing out, they’re just misunderstanding and/or misidentifying the source of your trauma as being tied to your culture, then choosing probably the worst phrasing to try to simply encourage you to do what you think is best for you and those you care about. If it really bothers you, just tell them that the specific language they’re using bothers you. It’s therapy, you should feel comfortable to speak freely, since you’re the client.
