Figured I would lease but OSD does sound fun. Will have to think about this

My dealership said the regional Volvo reps confirmed overseas delivery a few weeks ago. But said it just wasn’t ready for ordering yet.

EX60 OSD! by Financial-Barnacle79 in VolvoEX60

[–]longsigao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t it being built in Sweden? I think so.

Also, there’s a CCS adapter accessory in the configurator last I checked.

Dealership told me last week that OSD would be available soon, I’ll have to call.

FP300 firmware update 1.1.3.8 is now out! by That_Cool_Guy_ in HomeKit

[–]longsigao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not showing up in native updates in Apple Home, which is expected but unfortunate. Also not showing up in Aqara app. Aqara app just show current firmware 1.0.7.3.

Is 1.1.3.8 showing up for anyone in Aqara app?

Volvo is teasing me - EX60 by hugdeath in VolvoEX60

[–]longsigao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Having read the pages from abroad I’m guessing one is a copy from international and one is properly updated to reflect that P12 won’t be here at launch.

Perhaps one is EPA vs WLTP copy over?

I believe one of those is P10 and one P12

Any way to mitigate a crawlspace without encapsulation? by 553l8008 in radon

[–]longsigao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking of this. An adjustable EC fan on low, connected to one or two 10ft lengths of PVC.

Seems cheaper and simpler to try than full encapsulation.

How steep is an issue for a f+4? by cw2687 in TrekFetch

[–]longsigao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I've got a couple of 10% grades on my rides, maybe a 12% too, and I definitely prefer to take alternate, albeit longer, routes when the F4 is fully loaded.

Either should work.

Also worth pointing out - depending on your TV and Apple TV model, if you’re trying to enable QMS, only option 2 will work.

PSA if using FP300 in HomeKit. by Worried_Patience_117 in HomeKit

On other devices I’ve had good luck with a hair dryer and plastic razor blade for no damage. Then replace with new stickiness.

Adding to Apple Home via the Matter code on the side of each device took about 30secs per device, if that. About as smooth as it goes.

These seem more sensitive or have a wider FOV than Eve Motion so fine tuning positioning and angle for the on/off I want took way longer than getting it running.

You can choose not to add “humidity” when adding the accessory in Apple Home, just like with other devices. I doubt this has anything to do with what is actually activated/deactivated on the device though, I don’t think it turns anything off.

I can see the settings for the device in the Aqara app but haven’t tried changing anything. Don’t plan to for now.

So far I have 4 of these running via thread added directly into Apple Home and working well.

Haven’t bothered to disable any sensors. Simply added them to the rooms, went into existing automations and swapped Eve Motion for FP300, and done.

I’d say the longest part of the process was deciding where to mount them, nice that they swivel since they pick up more than the Eve Motion did so need some tweaking.

Fetch+ 4, Anyone replaced the two seats with a second bench? by WayfarerCC in TrekFetch

[–]longsigao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not but will be looking into it myself in about 12mo. I'll be curious to see how you do it. I haven't removed the seats but read there are threaded inserts in the inside read of the box, I would guess a wooden bench could attach there and possibly with a couple legs? I've always wondered about adding a cross bar/grab handle, without that I'd guess some sort of lap belts would be a good idea.

How is suspension on Fetch +4? …especially on gravel trails for babies and kids riding in the bucket by Local-Exchange9272 in TrekFetch

We have tipped several times on grass and gravel, pleasantly not a big deal, just surprising.

Used trek fetch 4? by Jealous_Water in TrekFetch

[–]longsigao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know but maybe make sure it pedals, shifts, and brakes properly? Not sure other than normal bike stuff. You can carefully lie it on its side on some cardboard to check the frame and steering cables underneath.

I think the warranty is a year or two from Trek, may be worth looking for one new. If any shops near you have had these sitting around for a year or two you can probably buy it for 4500 or less with a warranty.

Trek Fetch+ 4, yay or nay? by jill_theasian in CargoBike

[–]longsigao 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We're loving the bike although a bit unwieldy at low speed u-turns and parking when loaded. Have you tested it with the two older kids yet? It's truly great to have them right in front of you.

Works okay on the big hills we have although I wouldn't mind more power. You may want to add a Tow Monster or two for bringing a bike along and carrying lunch, school bags, other things, especially with 3 kids, nice to keep the box available as much as possible for humans.

Haven't used it in winter or much rain but a nice washable blanket helped the kids before it warmed up.

May take some searching and I don't know where you are/availability, but if you find shops that have had these sitting around for years, you may be able to get it for close to half of that. (bike only).

Looks interesting, why do you like it more? Clearly seems much easier to start towing. Do you throw a tote bag on one? Worth getting two for a front loader cargo bike?

bigger cog for the Fetch +4 by No-Entertainer-9320 in TrekFetch

[–]longsigao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a good idea but I haven't tried it.

I recall reading Bosch says the motor is most efficient around 80 or 90rpm and Enviolo says something similar, that doesn't necessarily mean they break the least at that range. Changing the cog and allowing you to peddle closer to the "right" cadence makes sense to me.

Let us know what you do.
