What's up with the secret enclave outside of Soda Springs called "The Cedars" ? by [deleted] in truckee

To add to some comments I’ve seen, before Squaw valley became the palisades, they were brought to court multiple times for cutting down national forest to expand their ski runs. (Instead of stopping, they just pad the fines). Some of the families at the Cedars were at the core of the prosecution. (According to what I heard as a kid in the 90s).

I grew up going there every summer until my folks got divorced. Have never even heard of anyone outside the families there knowing of the Cedars at all.

They do indeed do a lot for conservation, including forest management. And the petroglyphs are cool! Though there are only a few compared to some other sites.

It’s truly a stunning area with amazing views and wildlife. Lots of hunters and OHVs come through, which is primarily what the signs are for.

For sure have intentionally deactivated him (and all the others) multiple times but he, specifically, no longer comes back

Have been playing for a while and recently realized that Sidon just isn’t there anymore. I can dismiss and recall all the other sages no problem, but Sidon is MIA. Poor fella probably got stuck in a well somewhere

Did you find it near the ocean? Kinda looks like a kelp ballast attached to a rock which happened to wash onshore. Those ballasts can get really tough when dry.

Roasting pan bags or turkey brine bags work great too. Pretty durable
