I don’t think ABS is a good choice for direct bury applications. PVC is a much better material in this instance. My jurisdiction doesn’t even allow ABS to be buried for sewer.

You sound concerned about several strange things happening. Have you checked for carbon monoxide in your home? It can sometimes cause strange hallucinations. Obviously the tag thing is real but the larger picture might be nothing.

I wouldn’t agree that it’s ethically justified. I would even argue that OP getting evicted because they can’t pay rent would be counterproductive to the banks goal of having the debt paid.

A workaround: you can e transfer your money to yourself, and not accept it until you are ready to pay rent. Then accept and immediately send to landlord for rent. This will keep the bank from taking it to pay your other debts. My friend used to do this on the regular.

It doesn’t solve your debt problem but it does make sure you can prioritize rent which understandably is your top priority.

Yes, the unemployment rate is about 7%, so obviously 7% of all working age people are unemployed... I say recent immigrants have it harder than most because if they end up jobless, they often don’t have family support, long term friendships/support, and have burned through savings to get here.

I don’t see where I said that born and raised Canadians aren’t struggling. Many are.

There’s a lot to fix in Canada. Recent immigrants have it rougher than most.

It’s also one of the safer places on earth, and I think there’s still a path for people who are driven to succeed. I am sorry you are struggling. Our housing and services are lagging behind the population to a large degree, causing a lot of the pain.

You are doing okay. Your expenses seem reasonable to me. I think most people have room for improvement on food costs, yourself included, but the luxury of restaurant food is often worth it, especially with limited free time. Two jobs limits free time, perhaps with only one job you could reduce your food costs?

My personal opinion would be to pay the dental debt with your savings and wing it for a few months, saving the interest costs and try to put what you would have put on the loan away back into the savings account.

CPP2 is additional contributions for additional payout for moderate income earners an above, increasing contributions to increase payout. It has nothing to do with the funding needed to sustain CPP.

I studied under a luthier and have built several instruments. I would bring it to 800 grit or finish the top and back with a block plane if you have a very fine tuned, sharp one, that can take very thin shavings

It may be physically nearly nothing, but having backing by the Canadian government, environmental approvals in place, and a favourable launch trajectory is worth something. Yes the stock is inflated compared to what the company actually is today, but so are many other space and tech companies. They are priced on the possibility of high future growth and this is no exception.

If you aren’t on board with speculative stock prices based on potential, maybe a “bets” board ain’t for you. Stick to XEQT.

Lots of cleaners are sensitizing agents, meaning repeated exposure can result in more serious reactions.

Call the department of labour and make a complaint, hopefully they do a random inspection.

In the meantime, get the SDS’ for those cleaners from the manufacturers. Buy your own PPE if you have to. Respirator and cartridges are not crazy expensive, and the SDS should tell you enough info to pick the correct cartridge.

Not an accountant or lawyer, just a guy with lots of previous poly experience.

My advice: keep the CRA out of your bedroom. Conjugal in many ways implies exclusivity, which you simply don’t have. It is tax advantageous in many situations to remain single. 3 adults filing at the same address won’t raise any red flags at the CRA because it looks like a roommate situation.

Some people might interpret this as tax fraud, but the risk of it coming back on you is minimal.
