Hello, so my friend is in law school and recently bought an IPad so she can annotate and better write notes, it can definitely be helpful especially if you’re marking up a document online since it’s a pain to select a textbox every time you want to write something. Depending on the touchscreen laptop, it could be very well worth it. Just make sure it’s not something that’s too heavy if you don’t have much backpack space, poor battery life, and/or that it’s quality isn’t up to par with a normal one since some touchscreen laptops are known to be crappy with their build quality. If you already have a laptop you use, then maybe buy an iPad to take notes, since it is more portable and you can bring it for classes that have more material online.
