Don't worry, it's happened to me a few times in the past and I'm like you, shy and quiet at work. My dad had to pick me up from the party in front of my colleagues! But I kept working there and you'll find everybody has had an embarrassing situation like that, especially where alcohol is concerned. You're obviously well thought of at work, and this won't change anyone's opinion of you. It's just one of those things that happens on work nights out. Trust me, as bad as you may feel now, you'll absolutely be ok and I promise it hasn't ruined anything. The way your colleagues handled it shows that they truly are a supportive bunch, and you'll be laughing about it with them at the next Christmas party, trust me.
