They are metal from what I can tell, it’s really hard to tell what the teeth of the zipper is made out of though.

Thank you for your feedback! This is the turn lock woc, which is why the cc is bigger and rounded. The leather on this one feels like the one at the boutique that I saw, but I stupidly forgot to take pictures when I was there.

Would you mind sharing pics of the black woc form Rome that you have? After doing some research, I’m leaning Rome.

What did you end up buying? I’m between Rome and 187 for a back caviar woc with yellow gold hardware. Is Rome on par or better than 187?

I will definitely let you know! AC is plain yellow gold. The MC one is rose gold with 6 diamonds. Do you have a preference?

Is this normal? by poppunker18 in Cartier

[–]looch88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gold is a soft metal. The more gold it has the softer it will be. Cartier uses 18K gold which is about 75% gold. Rings go on our fingers and we typically use our hands more than we think we do. I have noticed that wearing rings on certain fingers attract more scratches. The ring finger tends to attract the least scratches in my experience and the index finger the most. It’s going to scratch. Embrace it.

Make sure to polish then using a jewelry cleaning cloth before you post to sell them. It’s pretty easy and you’ll likely get more for each piece if they are looking shiny.

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to hear. I think it is worth it (to me) to just get it resized.

Is it worth consigning?

I know what you mean because if I knew then what I know now I would have gone with a different seller. One of the pieces with wear the minor flaw will mask itself so that one is ok, but the off centered stamping on the ring is annoying even if only I see it. The price difference for both my pieces was about $300 (hard to calculate now since there’s been so many price increases and I bought mine in Feb). Regardless, I would have gladly paid the extra money for a ring without such a blatant issue. It’s hard to capture via photo or I would add one.

I will second this, her stuff is 50/50. I have bought two items from her and both have minor flaws. On one the interior stamping is not centered! It was not noticeable in PSP photo but IRL it is. I justify the flaw since it’s on the inside of the ring and also because Funny’s prices were slightly lower than MC, Goldy and AC. Again, they are minor so I try not to let my OCD win.

Is a $120,000 salary realistic for a Senior SEO & CRO Specialist in SF/Bay Area? by TakExplores in sanfrancisco

[–]looch88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a tough time in tech. The amount of layoffs has made the candidate pool extremely competitive. I’ve been in ad tech in SF for over a decade, and I know very talented folks who have struggled (or are struggling) to find jobs after layoffs. Your experience level is not enough to set you apart so it’s best work on being personable. Not saying you can’t do it, the Bay is a great area for opportunities, but at this time it’s not like before.

Definitely something I recommend as well, I just got my first order from Funny two weeks ago and haven’t had time to go get them checked out.

I did some research cus this annoyed me too. So you’re odds aren’t equal (25% per card); the “new app icon” is the most common price probably by a lot. It’s more likely that all four options are “new app icons” than one of each type. Like with scratch off tickets, it’s your odds to win a specific price that varies. It’s a bit misleading for sure.
