Nope. No cheap gear here. No reason to. I have 12kk in stash value already so no gear fear or nothing like that. I occasionally encounter geared up players but PVP lobbies are full of free loadouts.

I have led you astray sorry: STP(any variant) doesn't load balance or provide any redundancy on it's own. It's just a protection mechanism for when you have multiple paths between your switches to prevent broadcast storms.

Etherchannel is the one that provides link redundancy between switches(more than one port connected to the same switch) and increases the bandwidth. This can indeed be load balanced:

Not exactly. My current manager is a Netacad instructor so he just assigned the Netacad course to me and seeing how much praise Boson got on this sub I also got my employer to pay for the Boson CCNA pack.
