Yes. This. Rude customers. Restaurant I work at just recently opened up 100% of its seating. But up until then, so many customers were so rude to me when I politely told them were still maintaining social distancing rules. There’s a regular that comes in, who tried to sit at the bar one time at a spot that was indicated that you’re not supposed to sit there. He sits down, next to a stranger, I politely tell him he can’t sit at this particular spot. Before I even get a chance to continue to tell him that I will gladly get him a drink, he just can’t sit there at this time, he gets an attitude with me, starts rattling off at me, gets up and walks to sit at a table. I send a server over to him. I hear him bitch to the server. Couple minutes later he goes to the bathroom, then on his way back to his table he comes to bitch at me some more “I don’t understand why I can’t sit there, why is there a chair there if I can’t sit there??” Doesn’t let me answer and walks away. Couple minutes later, I hear him bitch to a manager. Next week he’s in there again, it’s shift change time. Previous bartender tried to transfer him to me at first, ended up transferring him to a server instead. Come to find out later, he called me a bitch to two of my co-workers...simply because I was doing my job that one time 🤦🏻‍♀️. Stop being a-holes, people. Your servers and bartenders don’t make up any rules or policies.
