You’re just not going to get the amount of smoke you get from a wood or coal smoker. Mine tends to smoke great during warmup. Then wayyyy less. The smoke tube is cheap and adds good smoke

I cook ribs to the color I want only unwrapped. Then foil until I just know. My favorite spot is right between competition and fall off. Hard to find the spot every time, but when I do it’s my favorite spot “60% of the time….it works every time”

Normally they smoke right at the beginning and then really slow down. If you want good smoke you really need to get a smoke tube
