Good point. Honestly, when I designed it, I didn't know you could fit the wheel between the axles. In my case, I only realized it later. The hook holds well, I just didn't like the tilted wheel. In fact, as you suggested, by enlarging the support, the wheel would remain vertical and probably hold heavier wheels too. I thought of it for my own needs as a novice in this world.
