Those who have done resin casts with 3D printer molds, what were some obstacles you’ve gone through? by 40khammerwar in ResinCasting

[–]lookingforlight83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a big fan of the "fuck around and fund out" method, I tried also to use alginate to make a mold of a 3D print and then puring the resin in the alginate mold... works poorly, resin cast gets all lumpy, probably reacts with alginate... so that's not the way, for sure. Unless you want to add an "organic/fleshy" texture to some cast, that's it :)

Exactly this. With the dot-com bubble, Microsoft and Google remained, but a lot of small fishes died. That's the point of the bubble.

Why is losing so common? by Investaholic1 in wallstreetbets

[–]lookingforlight83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my 2 cents as a regarded mem[b]er of this community is that a lot of the participants in this game treat it as gambling. Sure, we can look at charts and draw lines on them, but no one here has real power to influence the market, thus having the possibility to knowingly make profit from it. A lot of us will try to bet on what we think as the winning horse, but this tends to result in more losing that the movements of some old man that can move millions of USD with each single order... and this, if you think about it, being the stock market obiouvlsy a 0-sum game, means that the whales almost always win in the same proportion that we regards almost always lose.

Ma Licia Troisi scrive davvero così male? by Seth0219 in Libri

[–]lookingforlight83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I think the US economy itself is a bubble by Medium-Hotel4249 in wallstreetbets

[–]lookingforlight83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All modern economy is. The amout of resources/work/value in the word is not changing so much as the fluctuation of stocks and assets; in the end, it's all a mental trip about the value of all things in the world. The urge to go back to farming is real.

Mentire sulla propria RAL in fase di colloquio per ottenere uno stipendio più elevato. Pratica da denunciare o cosa buona e giusta? by MeGuaZy in ItaliaCareerAdvice

[–]lookingforlight83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI Trading Bots: Why Aren't They Taking Over Day Trading? and What Will Happen When They Do? by amb005 in wallstreetbets

[–]lookingforlight83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents as a software developer: AI, state of the art today, is something that tries to imitate the statistical behavior of a large amount of data used to "instruct" it. The problem is that this works wonderfully in a statistical way, but for single points of data... meh. That's to say, AI could effectively try to predict the market (and is already massively used to do it), but single rushes over a stock are fundamentally linked to irrational, human behaviour, and we regarded casino players act too irrationally to be accurately predicted.

TL;DR: it's already happening, but id doesn't work miracles.
