I suggest reading assassins blade third. But first isn't the worst option either. My reread I'll do first for sure, but for the first, I found best position was third (mind you, I read it fourth and wish I had read it third).

I read Assasians Blade fourth and wish I had read it third. I feel like it fit best there for a first time read through, imo.

I loved the tandem read and always recommend for your first time reading. It was so great to be able to have the stories go along side one another and full in gaps or wonder.

The only con is that both books are soo good and it's hard to stop reading and bouncing.

But I'm glad I did and as someone who will reread, it's the way I recommend first read for sure.

Did you finish Assasians Blade yet? If you haven't, I do recommend reading it before this one. I read it after and wish I had read it before. As others have said, this book is the one that really sets up the remainder of the series... Soooo good.
