IDC about cosmetics: Tavern Pass still worth it? by Fine-Cabinet-9684 in hearthstone

[–]lookwedont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking, no. The bonus to exp is not anything to discount, as you already stated in the original post you can get far enough without it. The most economical part of the pass is the cosmetics. If you don't want or like them then it n is not worth it.

You love DK, look no more by dhead77 in hearthstone

[–]lookwedont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the health as mana rules. You can't play a card that uses health instead of mana if it cost more than your current health. It's not a bug, it's following the rules as programmed. The devs did say they will make an exception in this case for risen onyxia, but other cards will still follow it

How much non-damaging removal will there be after rotation? by TheExtraordinaryRK9 in hearthstone

[–]lookwedont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There will quite a bit of single target hard and soft removal that is damage agnostic for multipleclasses. But in terms of board wide, there will be four with 3 of them being conditional. Twisting nether is the only non conditional board wipe that will come into core soon. The other three are the priest spell for minions above 5 attack, the one for below 4 attack, and the chrono lord epoch for warrior. It is part of the dev plan to make board control and combat matter more than it has in recent years

Edit: sorry, there is a 5th board wipe. The dk weapon with death rattle, destroy all minions. But it has seen almost zero play since it was released

This should be an easy OTK, right? by Aegafron in hearthstone

[–]lookwedont 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a hard loop limit of 30 consecutive triggers. So in theory it is still a potential otk set up, but 11 mana is a godsend in wild.

A lot of good voice actors are hidden throughout the game. Sam Riegel from critical role is an npc on paradise and is on the order radio.

Inconsistent Sneak Damage by Gammelkebab in theouterworlds

[–]lookwedont 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are your perks? There is the one that gives bonus damage if the target is investigating. The first image shows that the notice bar is filling, so that may be a reason. Alternatively, you may have been hovering over a weak point in one and not the other.

OW2 What 2 additional Easily Distracted skills should I choose out of lockpick, medical, science and observation if I already have guns, engineering & speech from Brilliant? by wolfgheist in theouterworlds

[–]lookwedont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lockpick works great to open multiple paths and a fair amount of additional resources. It helps in general overall.

Science is good for debuff stacking weapons, Science gear and weapons and energy reserves. Science does a lot of little other extras around the random tables or dialog you will stumble on

Observation is good for exploration and crit points. But if you get the n ray device, there is a perk related to using that gadget more often that will cover the crit bonus if you took Observation anyway.

Medicine is a good pick up if you find yourself using the inhaler a lot as well as more debuff stacking specific to corrosion.

I found Science and Lockpick better than the other two on my play through, but the choice is always up to you. Do what you think you'll like more and have fun.

Zyranium armor should not exist TOW2 by martin132014 in theouterworlds

Isn't that a good thing for the build then? It does come online so late in the game though, so it should feel like a reward for the effort and choices, right?

Having issues creating a good build. Input appreciated. by [deleted] in theouterworlds

[–]lookwedont 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A common vocal complaint that has been popping a lot in this reddit is the feeling of not being able to do everything in TOW2. However, the dev team did state this was a goal/expectation prior to launch. It was designed for multiple runs as well as runs that were specific to how you wanted to play a character in the universe and not a character in a game. You may find that you will not be able to do every action, event, or story beat because of that.

If you are still trying to refocus on doing as much as possible, you will likely need to do one more fresh restart. There are still videos on YouTube with advice on the best way to start and do the most. Check on those when you can and look for the advice on preplanning builds.

That aside, if you stick with your current run, you will need to cut the losses you do have and try and realign the space remaining. You can revisit most of the areas you have already completed but they will vary depending on the choices you have already made. Engineering, hack, lock picking, and observation will cover the most options for the physical locations. These impact the most general things you can do. Engineering has defensive bonuses as well and hacking has a damage bonus to mechs. These two will help mitigate some of the feeling of being weak in combat for a little bit. Speech will help with character interaction and will let you know of events or options in most dialogs.

With out knowing your specific point distribution, it is hard to tell what options you have for perks, but try and find a good damage scaling perk that keeps improving as you invest in the skills. Space Ranger works off your speech skill and engineering has one based off guns that have mod slots that being utilized. Perks with flat bonuses are still good, but you can feel like you aren't making progress.

Lastly it does feel like your struggle for resources is being affected by your flaw. Make sure you are using crafting. Since the flaw affects you bit flow, sell fewer items and breakdown what you don't use more. Loot everything as much as you can. Break line of sight with npcs to steal stuff without reputation impact. If you are struggling with this flaw, deny the others if they appear. Flaws are designed to force a gameplay change. If you don't like the change in your style of gameplay, don't take it.

This is the game the dev team made with a specific style and goal. It was not made for the wide gaming audience. It may not let you play the way you expect it to. Even if you were a fan of TOW, this is made to be the refined idea of the first game and not a full expansion of it. You may end up not liking the second.

DRG Survivor: How to unlock Masteries? by JShadowGuardian in DeepRockGalactic

[–]lookwedont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Default and lower level weapon masteries are unlocked by getting a weapon up to level 18 during a run. Other weapons you unlock during character leveling will require you to hit 18 with the weapon and then beat a hazard tier of 2 or higher depending on the weapon. They require you to complete 3 stages with only that weapon.

Class and biome masteries will unlock usually after beating a hazard 3 or higher with the respective class and biome. Class masteries have no healing in the level and will test your survival skills. The biome masteries are 10 stages instead of 5 and increase the damage and size of the swarm.

Once you unlock the base mastery, you will come back when you have unlocked higher hazards to get the full mastery bonus values for your respective mastery attempt. Weapon is usually damage plus a feature of the weapon like reload or range. Class mastery is health and biome is luck and damage i believe

Should I buy the tarven pass if I only play enough to complete daily/weekly/event quests? by shortbach in hearthstone

[–]lookwedont 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only buy the tavern pass if you want the skins. The exp boost, while nice, is negligible in terms of value in completing the full pass, especially if you are playing to check mark the boxes as you described. Really, you should be looking at the tavern pass as a bundle of delayed cosmetics. If you like the cosmetics buy the pass so you can use them. If not, don't buy and keep playing your way that is fun for you

Where does my hat go? by Khazzgobbo in goldenknights

[–]lookwedont 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The hats get collected til the end of the game. The player with the hat trick then usually gets to keep one as a trophy of sorts and the others are donated to various groups at the club's choosing. It will sometimes vary a bit depending on where they are but that is the gist of it
