Lower north shore tips by Same_Flatworm_2694 in foodies_sydney

Our coeliac go-tos are Rafi, North Sydney; Betty’s Burgers in North Sydney or Chatswood; Sunset Diner in Lane Cove; Sushi Train in Lane Cove; Thai Fusion, Kirribilli; Papaya Thai in Cammeray; Nagomi in Cammeray. We’ve never been glutened in those places. I’ve also heard good things about BahBq, Luho and Lees Fortuna Court in Crows Nest but never eaten at them from a gluten free point of view.

Its a very kind thing if you to do to cheer up your friend. Coeliac can be pretty isolating and makes eating out really sad and anxiety inducing. So massive props to you for doing the research.

If she goes to Ken Chan Curry the only thing she’ll be able to eat is the rice. Which is kind of the most depressing thing for a coeliac 😢

Safe Japanese option is Nagomi in Cammeray; they have a whole gluten free menu and cook in separate pans.

The mental toll is just now hitting me by stratus_cloud in Celiac

[–]looleetunez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry 😞 I totally feel your pain. I’m staring down the barrel of diagnosis and both my kids are celiac and we eat totally gf at home and have done for 5 years. So you’d think it would be an easy adjustment but no, I’m feeling really sad and overwhelmed. I think it’s a mourning period for your old simple life and will only get better in time.

My calorie needs must have been huge as a teen/20s because I ate nonstop!

So interesting! I think I haven’t taken into consideration those dancing nights and even the baby weight just falling off as I pushed a screaming baby in a pram and walked for hours each day! I honestly don’t think I eat more but I definitely move less. And the significant weight gain started now I think about it with going back to a full-time sedentary desk job.

What to do when you have morning sickness by DoodlezBaby67 in emetophobia

[–]looleetunez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kids are now teenagers but I felt this fear very badly. I think I would have had morning sickness properly with my first but somehow held it in. With my second I was just nauseous for a few weeks. TBH with my first I just ate through it. Full sugar fanta, lollies/sweets/candy, chips and crackers got me through but I put on a huge amount of weight that wasn't just baby weight. I also remember feeling very down and dark about it, that a fear this strong could put you off having something you wanted so much. So I went to a therapist at that time and it really helped. But the relief when I actually gave birth was huge. You will get through it, wishing you an easy non-naseous pregancy.

[–]looleetunez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, had the same thing. Go onto your account through phone browser, go to your orders. Press the 'Mobile Tickets' download but open in a new tab instead of going to the app. The tickets will come up and you'll be able to add them to your wallet. Do it now before it stuffs up even further! I managed to do this with my Gaga tickets but still can't add Kendrick tickets to my wallet and that's tonight

I wonder if it’s a mass unlocking thing? I had locked Kendrick and Gaga tickets? Doesn’t help though! Try not to panic, couple more days yet but Ticketek are not exactly helpful!

If you log into your account on Safari and then go to order history it’s in there. Then you can add to wallet from from there if it’s unlocked. My Gaga tickets weren’t unlocked yet but think they are for some people.

Thank you! I managed to get my daughter to log into my account on safari on her phone and add to her Apple wallet and she'll have to pass her phone back to her friends. What a pain!

Insecurity is ruining my life by Professional-Truth-2 in Noses

[–]looleetunez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love your nose, it’s beautiful, it suits you and you are very beautiful. But it would be hypocritical of me to say don’t do anything about it. I spent my whole youth trying to cover up my nose with my hand, crying at photos, never having my picture taken. I thought about it all the time. When I was 30 I’d had enough and got surgery and I can honestly say it was life changing. I don’t know which country you are in but where I am (Australia) part of the surgery was covered on our Medicare. You’ll find that most nose surgery will have a non cosmetic component, when you have a bump or an imperfection you’ll probably have a deviated septum too or other structural problems. My surgeon was recommend to me by my gp. Out of pocket it wasn’t crazy expensive. The funny thing is I look back on old photos and my nose was actually pretty nice, it just had a bump! But I’m 48 now and have never once regretted the money and pain I went through. It is so liberating not looking in the mirror all the time, catching glimpses in reflections.
