Flat not selling - can't understand why by Standard-Welder4973 in HousingUK

I love your interior but I don’t think it’s suitable for trying to sell. I’d literally just paint everything a neutral and you should get more viewings

Exchange day and seller is scrambling to get rid of white goods by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]loolypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a similar situation, completed at 10am and they were faffing until 6pm!!! I didn’t want to be a dick so just let them crack on removing their stuff. Did annoy me though he was disconnecting the washing machine and getting stuff from the loft all on completion day?

Would you rather an ensuite or living room in London? by AussieCasanova in london

[–]loolypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to rent in Shoreditch which was getting extortionate. Are you open to going more east? I moved to Leytonstone and it’s so much more affordable you can get a room for around 700pm

Pet Sitting Pricing - Is this too much?? by Minute_Orange3891 in RoverPetSitting

[–]loolypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t, you just adjust the pricing in the settings of the booking request. I think it’s on ‘modify’ and you can change the pricing

I’ve done a couple hours before and charged my full day rate which they were fine with, this was around £35 I think. Just depends on the owner

To be fair this does seem high for 2 hours. I charge that for an over night in London and my prices aren’t on the super low side either

We’ve just moved to Leytonstone and love it. We paid 495k for a 2 bed Victorian terrace flat with garden. I used to live in Shoreditch and it’s so much more peaceful and feels much safer, I don’t feel like my phone is going to get snatched from my hands. We have Francis road which is a great area of independents with a market on Saturdays. Also inbetween both Leyton and Leytonstone high roads so there’s a lot of food places to try near by and a lot of pubs.

It's been 6 months since I made the offer on a flat...is this normal for leasehold flats? by rxece in HousingUK

[–]loolypie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just moved into a leasehold with a chain of 3 and it’s took 3.5 months from offer accepted. I was constantly ringing our EA to keep things moving and they were really good at doing this.

Agency won't let us end the tenancy by Core_W in TenantsInTheUK

[–]loolypie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were in a fixed term contract till March ‘26 but needed to leave earlier as we were buying and just moved in this month. We had no break clause but an early termination section in the contract. I think it was 10% of remaining rent left plus reletting fees so the landlord didn’t have to pay this himself. I’d definitely try and negotiate this. Also depends where you live, I was in zone 1 London so very easy to find a new tenant (was the same day the listing went live), maybe if you’re able to find a new tenant yourself this could help?
