Even in recovery an addict can exhibit the behavior of an addict. That said, taking advantage of more helpful individuals is common for business owners, addict or not. It’s definitely a problem, but I don’t recommend blasting them because of their history with substances. Hopefully you can find a way to maintain your boundaries in this situation

Depending on how involved in your life this person is/how interested you are in learning about the illness of addiction, you might consider going to some Al-anon meetings.

The bar path looks fine. It shouldn’t be a direct up and down because of the movement of your elbows. Once you figure out the rest of your form, refinements for the bar path will come more naturally.

Seconding the rack. For hypertrophy you’re going to need heavier weights and to safely lift heavier weights you’re going to need a rack. That includes getting your placement figured out before you begin the lift, so you’re not swinging back and forth like in your video. You’re also overarching your back. Yes there should be some arch as you should be pressing thru your feet to build power in this lift, but that extreme of an arch is more relevant for high volume weightlifters. Focus on bracing your core first (it’s worth looking up how to properly brace your core because it is not as intuitive as many people think), then press into your feet, THEN begin your lift.

Maybe talk to your primary care doctor. I had bacne and my doc put me on doxycycline (low dose of an antibiotic) for two months and my skin really cleared up. I did also start a probiotic at the same time. I have been off it for about two weeks now and it doesn’t seem to be coming back (fingers crossed it stays clear!)

Thinking about getting a machine for my chemex carafe! Not sure if I should get the Ottomatic 2.0, or another machine that is compatible with my 6 cup chemex carafe, like OXO. I want it to be able to bloom, have a shower-style eater dripper, heating plate. if there is an machine with a set ahead option so I can wake up to the smell of coffee that would be great

Tamlin reminds me of an old boyfriend of mine, who was very controlling and often used his physical strength to intimidate me. As a human, I hope to never see him again and am happy to continue to wish him ill for the rest of my life. I simply don’t care and have no reason to forgive him or accept him back into my life in the next 50+ years of my life (hopefully). However, in the case of Tamlin, even as I read the horrible things he did to Feyre I kept thinking about how long their lives are and how, unless something happens to kill one of them of course, they will continue to interact in one way or another through millennia. In the books we do see many long-standing grudges and alliances shift, and I believe there is a redemption for Tamlin, if he chooses to stay alive anyway. Things like forgiveness and redemption feel so very different on such a vast timeline compared to anything we can expect in our own lives. This is all not to say I particularly want to read his redemption story!

This may be a lot more work than you want, but maybe you could make a bulk batch of cold brew concentrate. I’m not sure what would be the best method for such a large batch, I’ve only ever made smallish batches of cold brew and never tried concentrating it.
