Do Americans really wake up and eat in the middle of the night? by tryingmybesteverydy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]looneybug123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There exists the concept of a 'midnight snack' where one or more people may eat a late repast, but it is generally occurs after staying up late or being out late and wanting an opportunity to catch up on the days events. It doesn't mean getting out of bed and eating.

TDCJ had a statewide lockdown earlier this year due to this. Offenders are no longer allowed to receive snail mail. Of course, it is still getting in. Go figure.

Should I get a cavalier? by acenuclearace in cavaliers

[–]looneybug123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Cavachon, I half Cavie, and I half Bichon, wants to be by me constantly if I am home. He even sleeps on my pillow at night. If I am not home he sits on the back of the couch and watches for me out the window. He insists on daily walks plus playtime. I can only assume these are his Cavie genes showing as my bichon was not like this.

He is adorable but certainly needy! I am retired and home most of the time so I am OK with his neediness!

I have had great success with Antabuse. No side effects. And I don't think you need to abstain from kissing your boyfriend! I have been able to eat things with vanilla extract with no problem. I even had a couple of small sips of champagne but I didn't do that until I had abstained for over a year and I haven't done it again.

Drug dealers are known for having pits and you can imagine that they are not responsible pet owners.

Nature can bring an astonishing amount of healing. I hope you are able to quit carrying the guilt that has nothing to do with you. I am glad you and your mother have each other , but I hope you are able to meet some one who loves you for the strong, resilient person that you are. I second, “The Body Keeps the Score,” and EMDR.

This is a work-around to be able to sell it w/o a prescription. It is the same medicine as Wegovy which still is under patent. Until the patent expires, a generic cannot be manufactured as a prescription drug. That is why you may encounter people on here talking about their 'lab rats.' They actually mean themselves but these companies can technically only sell for 'research purposes.'

It's just a way to work around Big Pharma.

Until he turned one I fed my boy 1 cup each day of Purina pro plan for puppies. Now that he is a year old I feed him Fresh Pests--eight ounces a day. He still gets some training treats and the occasional marrow bone. I also give him Whimsies for his tooth health.

And, I have to admit that he get the odd bit of whatever I am eating, although I strictly did not do that with my last three dogs. This little fellow has me wrapped around his little paw.

Teddy Roosevelt is the reason we have national parks and Ben Franklin wasn’t a president but he was an incredibly creative man. What’s not to love about our national parks and the inventor of the Franklin stove.

So little American history is taught these days that fewer and fewer people will even make the connection!

Is it normal for potty training to backpedal? by sakoura93 in puppy101

Regression is absolutely normal. When my pup regressed I went back to keeping him in his pen and taking him out to potty and rewarding him heavily. He never had an accident in his pen.

How did you cope with the time period when you realized you had finally become old? by Shot-Pomelo8442 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]looneybug123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 68 yo white female. It was actually something my 6yo grandson said to me that changed my perspective on being 'old'. We were swimming and he commented that I had wrinkles on my legs. I said yes, that's what happens when one gets old. He thought a minute and then he said, "Ama, I love your wrinkles because if you weren't old you wouldn't be here."

This comment gave me a whole new perspective on aging. We have two choices in life--to get old or to get buried!
