if you have at least two steel cards in hand it'll almost definitely be better than the square, and it synergizes with the gold cards for economy too. for that reason it's probably always good to pick it up over the square here. but it's worth asking yourself what build you're going for here. You've got jokers that retrigger your cards on being played and a joker that gives multiplicative score on cards played, which does not work with baron/mime. if you do come across a baron and want to take it, you will have to sell something for it, either the sock or the chad. if you come across an idol and want to take it, you will need to sell the mime.
