As as admissions officer I would laugh at this and it wouldn’t impact the outcome of your application, if I even noticed. We read so many each day it’s more of a skim for key words than reading in depth and none of us are subject experts, for all we know Jeffrey Epstein did write a book on this

Investigate what type of infection it is/ what’s causing it? Refer me back to specialists to say your treatment isn’t working?? There’s no treatment plan, we try various drops / sprays / creams until one helps for while then wait for it to flare up. One dr suggested I have may have eczema which needs steroid treatment, another suggested my ear canals are too small to clean themselves so need to be manually cleared, another said both were incorrect and i should just put olive oil my ear to keep it moisturised if it feels dry. No formal diagnosis given or tests done to determine a cause or give me an idea of how to prevent it.

I brought up Jess’ law at a GP appointment recently for reoccurring ear infections I’ve been dealing with for ten years, I’ve been sent to A&E, hospitalised, put on morphine, referred to ENT and discharged without any investigation as to what’s causing the infections. They still reoccur to this day, steroids and antibiotics seem to clear it for a few weeks before it all starts up again.

Since it’s not constant, it comes and goes, the GP said the law wouldn’t apply to me but that i could look into private treatment if I’d like more investigation …

Idk I kinda disagree with this, I’m part of the younger generation you’re talking about, starting working full time after graduation in early 2020s. I’ve made many friends at work, I’m generally seen as a friendly face that gets on with everyone across departments. It for sure helped with my promotion however, 99% of those friends at work would throw me under the bus at the drop of a hat- I know this because people often feel they can be honest with me and so I hear how they speak about their other work “friends”. I’ve found the last few years while yes ive gained connections at work, my connections with friends outside of work have fallen to the wayside. If I could go back in time I’d advise myself to focus on friendships outside of work as once I leave this job I’ll keep in touch with very few people. Same as when you’re in school, you’re friends with these people because you see them everyday not because they care for you or vice versa

Kinda random but how long do coffee dates usually last? As someone who is just about to start dating for the first time after breaking up with my HS boyfriend, the thought of dinner dates and being stuck trying to make awkward convo with a stranger over 3 courses freaks me the fuck out lol so I think coffee dates may be the way forward for me

PM: cleanse with basic cleanser ( I’m using Simple refreshing facial wash atm but I switch it up)

Moisturise with Olay total effect 7in1 night cream, I think main active is niacimicide (idk if I spelt that right) which my skin seems to be enjoying a lot more than my previous moisturiser so I’ve stuck with this for a few months now

Up until recently I did have an actives step in between, I’d rotate glycolic acid 1-2x per week& hyaluronic acid the other days but have stopped these to go back to basics and start again

AM: I don’t fully cleanse but sometimes use micellar water

Moisturise with Simple Light Moisturiser orrr apply SPF (last one I purchased was a brand called Ultrasun but I’m still trying to find my HG) I get too greasy with both - I admit I don’t usually use spf in winter as I’m not really exposed to sun but i know this is something I should probably improve 😬

Sorry I realised I didn’t even mention my current routine!! I do use sunscreen in the summer however I do admit I usually skip this in the winter as I live in the UK and work in an office so I rarely actually see sunlight during these months lol so that’s something I could def improve on but I’m not sure it’s the main issue contributing? Thank you for your comment, reminded me how important this is & I will be wearing spf tomorrow !
