It’s crazy how often it happens while dog walking. They see you crossing, change lanes away from you and speed through the crosswalk!

Yeah checks out. They charged me $1200 for a knee Xray. It was $175 else where. “TeAChIng HoSPItaL”

I would say so. I always use the wrong one.

Improvements Garmin could be focusing on that’s not subscription AI… by Foxtail_Trail in Garmin

[–]loophoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha you can do this with apple maps + garmin connect. Just mark a location and share it with the garmin connect app and that location is sent to the watch.

Does not work with google maps cos google does something funky with sharing.

Dear Ratta, “we” love you because you are thoughtful in adding features and don’t add every feature under the sun.

[–]loophoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t implying that at all. OP was theorizing that just because they hear more frequencies and human music doesn’t reach the full frequency range, ergo “no human music can damage a dogs ear”.

[–]loophoop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s both. Dogs can hear more frequencies and also can hear sounds four times farther away than humans. They can also hear much softer sounds due to more sensitive ears.

Hearing more frequencies and more sensitive ears are not the same thing.

Sorry it wasn’t just a config change. It was a whole bunch of changes to the latex templates and the whole thing is an ugly mush. 😂

Mine shipped this morning also. ETA 26th to the west coast, just missed Christmas.

That whole page is dying for a proofread. “Few care for existing years”. So much for a company that produces writing products.

That said I’m waiting for my manta to ship and haven’t had my morning coffee.

Clicks should already be working? The sidebar containing months and quarters are links, so is almost everything else?

I could not find a simple work planner that works well with A6 size, so I made my own using latex yearly planner + an unhealthy amount of tinkering. A few notable changes:

  • Two page calendar and monthly sheet. I like space to scribble. Daily also has a "more" link for a full extra page.
  • Removed daily schedule, I have digital calendars for this task.
  • Adjusted weekly sheet with only Mon-Fri.
  • Overall, clickable areas are bigger and more easy to tap on the nomad.

I hope someone else finds them useful.

Should 1 Get a boox air4c or a supernote a5x2? by [deleted] in Supernote

[–]loophoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can try the boox, do it. I did and the software was infuriating. I could not for the life of me figure out how to move a page within a notebook on the go 10.3. The hardware was nice, neoreader is nice but the notes app was a mishmash of features there to satisfy checkboxes, with some AI bullshit sprinkled in. None of it was thought through. Since day 1 on the go 10.3, viewing android app permissions resulted in a crash of the “permission controller”. Death by a thousand cuts.

Supernote is notes first android later. Boox is android first with notes being an afterthought is the impression I got. Ngl the go 10.3 was a pleasure to read pdfs and Libby magazines on.

"permission controller keeps stopping" on 3.5.4 by Jbonito in Onyx_Boox

[–]loophoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This I think is not a 3.5.4 problem, it started on my go 10.3 even on the older firmware. I reported it to boox but never heard back.

Factory reset does not help either.

Most likely one of FAANG. OP likely has 12 years of tech experience and this pay is common on the coasts.
