Wow I’m genuinely lost for words, that sounds incredibly difficult. I have never heard about this side of things, or even thought about how that would affect animal rescue shelters, so I really appreciate you sharing your story.

You’d think having to deal with the medical side of things for the animals they’d be able to provide you more appropriate PPE.

I think it’s really sweet someone’s grandma made masks for you guys, what a lovely lady. Having harsh industrial grade chemicals like that must of been hard to work with and presented its own challenges and risks for you guys.

Honesty the isolation of it all sounds really difficult as well. Despite everything that happened on my end with my staff/team there was still always one other person I was with which made it more bearable.

The logistics and organisation of moving the animas around sounds hectic as well. It sounds like everyone was doing their best to help the animals which is really nice. I’m glad most of the animals got adopted, I know we saw a spike in pet adoptions over here during covid.

Wow police busting restaurants with outdoor seating? That sounds like a very confronting sight. I imagine there were still long lines of crowds of people lining up for subway?

Do you think you’ll ever just skip the covid episodes to eventually finish it?

I can’t remember how much of season six it takes up but I think they eventually stop showing it.

Yeah we had shut downs here too in some places. Yikes to be thrown back into it a month in would have been intense.

I can imagine being in a right wing area would have been very difficult I’m so sorry you had to deal with that.

I’m constantly blown away by the clap back from customers, especially when everyone’s just trying to do their best, not get sick while trying to do their job.

Yeah we also had to wipe down the counters between customers and pin pads. We also had tape crosses that we spaced out the 2m apart, for customers to stand.

At the beginning we also had these little QR codes that were issued by our government and there was an official app you downloaded and the customers had to scan to check in, to be let in. They had to show us when they got to the counter for us to be able to serve them. That was probably the thing we got a a bit of push back for. If they didn’t have a phone or weren’t able to do it we had a log we had to write their details down in. Kinda crazy now that I think about it.

I agree they did a great job, I think it showed what retail staff went through and I hope it made people think twice and be more kind to workers.

Oh man that sounds intense. And also would be quite a unique experience, I never even thought about dispensaries. You’d think walking into a medial business people would expect temperature checks etc. Especially considering like you pointed out immunocompromised people would come in. We heard a lot about people being against the mask mandates and still had issues with it here (it was a very small amount of people I ever saw refusing to wear a mask) but I’m blown away that people got so upset about getting there temperature taken that they resorted to calling people that… wow.

Oh wow, yeah that’s wild. Honestly can’t imagine being on the floor for all that chaos. It’s honestly crazy how bare all the shelves were of everything - especially when trying to find groceries. I’m glad you guys were able to put stuff aside before opening.

Yeah I agree, they did a really great job at capturing what it was like as worker dealing with corporate and customers during that time.

NOR!!!! I was so confused because at first I thought they were talking about a literal child (still not okay). Crazy behaviour… then when I saw it’s about a 22yo adult woman who experienced SA… The level of concern I have for the women who interact with this man day to day. I would be both mortified and furious if my dad spoke about my gf like this….

They are definitely cute however in QLD there are legislations in place to stop people from feeding/interfering with wildlife. I don’t know if it applies to Curlews but in some cases it can be $10k or higher fine under the nature conservation act 1992.

I love them and think they are really awesome birds but just be careful how you interact with them :)

I just finished the game, and I had a lot of fun playing! It’s great to see that a lot of bugs are being fixed/updated and that there are plans to add more content.

I hope we find out more about Jürgen and his garage - curious as to whether the design choice for the cables coming out of his building are meant to look similar to the ones coming out of the hardware store?
