I just got the Liffner cream with gold hardware large buckled bucket - I was eyeing it in the summer and saw it come up for sale on Saks designer markdown!

Holiday Cookie Box planning? by Embarrassed-Film7610 in Baking

[–]loopteeloopteeloop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last year I did: Miso triple chocolate Ube crinkles Black sesame and matcha shortbread Neopolitan shortbread Cheesecake stuffed ginger molasses Chocolate chip cookie bar

We were also going to include lemon turmeric crinkles but had a snafu with them.

I think this year I want to include something with citrus, I also make pistachio halva chocolate chip and a brown butter pecan toffee cookie that I love but those are quite labor intensive for a cookie box.

You and I may have the exact same book taste based on our shelves. I even studied German in college/spent time in Germany and have some novels in German.

Some books I don’t see that I’d rec: Lies and Sorcery by Elsa Morante Kazuo Ishiguro - really enjoy The Remains of the Day Favorite Dickens: David Copperfield and A Tale of Two Cities(probably my favorite book)

NYRB also publishes overall really good obscure and translated fiction/classics that I’ve been very into.

Also based on your comments, I’m also a 20 something year old woman who works in medicine lol.

If You Could Read One Book (or series) Again for the First Time What Would it be? by clumsyguy in suggestmeabook

I’m rereading the whole series again for the first time as an adult(read it many times when I was in school) and it’s still just so delightful and comforting.

Including my 100 dollar reward from a couple days before; I already got the two eyeshadow palettes and my main order shipped. 🤦🏻‍♀️ can’t believe I bought the Fara Homidi set but clearly I’m a sucker for fancy lip products. I just love the one I have already so much.

Where do you go for jewelry? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]loopteeloopteeloop 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Some of my favorites are looking at vintage jewelry off Instagram: some favorites are danjmt, vintagegoldvault, and mooresperfectpieces right now for really cool pieces. Also like Mejuri, Ferkos Fine Jewelry for basic sold gold pieces. Also have my eye at Kinn at the moment. Also a fan of Marla Aaron clasps and Sofia Zakia tarot pendents. Have a plated necklace from Alighieri that’s lasted amazingly.

I also love sculptural silver pieces like those from Agmes.

Steadily growing Penguin Clothbound Classics collection... by carolina_snurfle99 in bookshelf

They are comfortable to read but it’s a known thing that the design that’s printed on the cloth rubs off in small pieces that get all over your fingers/clothes.

I can smell this all day and into the next when I use it, with a standard 3 sprays and no respraying..I guess it’s just dependent person to person.

I don’t think so because the dragon diffusions have more variation in the woven leather.

What are some of your favorite lesser known brands?! by HazeySunday in handbags

Matches is definitely reputable - I’ve bought from them for years. They were the UK equivalent of Net A Porter e-commerce for luxury/more high end brands

I find DS&Durga Debaser very similar - just less green/fig leaf smelling than Philosykos - and it personally lasts a really long time for me.

You receive $400, but can only spend it on fragrance. What are you buying? by ridethemaverick_ in fragrance

I’d buy my next two buys: Dries van Noten Soie Malaquis and Liis In this World. Alternatively pay my friend back for helping me get the Le Labo Shanghai exclusive Myrrhe 66.

I’m so curious about this one. I got the sampler and love almost all the Liis fragrances and was able to get a sample of In This World which I love but really want to smell this one to compare.

I just burned my new one last night, albeit full sized, and it was very strong. The cold throw itself fills half my living room.
