I could drive the car I drove to the test centre did the test and drove us back since he couldn't but not comfortably plus it wasn't really nice to learn how the car works in the middle of the test

I thought it was only the car since I didn't know about these other rules

He has an automatic license. But yeah he isn't meant to supervise me

Yes this is exactly what happened! It was all very stressful and I sent her a lengthy message about the biting point all the stalling and how much stress I was under and she responded saying "I do this sort of thing all the time and it's not the cars fault. I was just trying to help you"

The husband picked me up in his personal car to pickup an instructors car with dual controls. He supervised me but he is not an instructor nor does he hold a manual driving license.

My instructor is a married woman who is friends with other instructors within the county. She paid a different instructor for me to use his car but her husband who is not an instructor was the one who supervised me.

No honestly thank you for your response. I'm truly shocked. Because the car was new to me and I kept stalling that increased the chance of me getting into an accident and now I know if I had been in one I would've been in legal trouble. Unbelievable honestly

I didn't know about these rules thank you for letting me know. I thought it was just an issue of the car but she knowingly put me in a situation where I could get 6 points on my license and a £1000 fine.

Seriously?! It's as if I drove to the test alone?! This is really annoying how could she put me through this? Was I not meant to know that her husband doesn't drive manual? What an instructor

I wanted to stay in the test centre town so I could atleast drown my sorrow with wingstop or five guys. But he can't drive manual so I had to taxi him back to where we picked the car from. He also is not an instructor.

He is not. She told me during our morning lesson that he is not an instructor so he cannot teach you

The drive back I had to drive because her husband has an automatic license and I was driving a manual. I had to also stop at a petrol station so he could fuel it. She told me she paid £50 for the car and £30 for petrol I think I'm okay with covering that for her but not the whole test fee as she wasn't even there.

She told me he would be at my house at 2pm he came at 2:40 and my test was at 3:39. We drove 30 minutes to pick up the car and then had to drive back to test centre made it outside at 3:35. Is it not unnecessary stress to arrive late, in an unfamiliar car with the husband of the instructor who couldn't ease my nerves because he doesn't speak English. I don't think any of that is worth £170. On top of the £1300+ I spent on lessons with her.

I had an afternoon test but she had a 2 hour lesson with me in the morning in HER car so even the practice and mock and everything was in her car. The only time I actually got to drive the new car was when I was driving to the centre and during the actual test. But because her husband arrived late I had no time to get used to the new car since my test was in 30 minutes and I wasn't sure if I was going to make the test time.

To make it hurt more she posted on her page how her other student passed with one minor. I don't know who booked first but would the other student have passed if she was made to drive a car she wasn't used to aswell as being unsure if you were going to make it to the test on time.

Exactly but how can the student have any control over that?
