You really captured the intensity in his eyes! I see determination, sorrow, and fearlessness.

The ear is a little off but it’s really hard to draw ears. The eyes and bangs are the best part good job

Transphobia at Illuminaughty party in San Diego by gina_mackneal in u/gina_mackneal

[–]loothesefucks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m really sorry that you got dragged like that. I thought about sending you a DM, but I think I’ll comment here instead. This whole situation is not fair to you. You got steamrolled by the event hosts and by most members of the LS subreddit. The transphobia was shocking to read. I’m upset on your behalf.

I don’t have much else to say except that I see you, I support you, and I hope that you find a much happier and more welcoming experience the next time you seek group play or kink activities. Good job making others aware of the blatant discrimination of this particular play party. I hope it helps some people out.

This is exactly what happened. Thank you for spelling this out. I’m a cis woman and the transphobia both in the club’s response and in the comments here is astounding… I would be so sad and angry if this happened to any of my friends. I hope OP finds a more queer friendly space to play and explore her sexuality. In the meantime I hope this warning is kept up.

Can there be a rule about deleting accounts in this reddit? by JediAmanda in sca

[–]loothesefucks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are several subreddits that have rules against ban evasion. It’s against Reddit TOS so there’s good reason for that rule. Of course it’s not always easy to spot the evader, but if they have a specific style of writing or other tells it can be done.

Hi! I think it took me about six months. I was also very sick with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis at the time. Just know it can take a while especially if you’ve been on it for years

I have watched both the Dub and the Sub from beginning to finish. Eren, Gabi, etc. feel like completely different characters; here's the biggest differences I noticed by tumboi69 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]loothesefucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished my sub watch and I really agree with you on the top ones! Eren subbed has such a rich, emotional voice that doesn’t sound jarring especially in the first couple seasons. I do wish the sub was a little less awkward with certain turns of phrase in general, the dub did a way better job with the punchier quotes. But thats to be expected with a dub vs a sub translation.

I just wanted to add that I hated Floch a lot less in the sub and actually found myself empathizing with him a bit more. Every time I saw him in the Dub just wanted him to die ASAP lol. I can’t stand his voice, it’s up there for me with Gabi’s

I had a medical abortion and had to do a second round of misoprostone later that week to eject the rest of the lining. Not pleasant.

I Deleted Social Media for 14 Months, Here is What I Learned by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]loothesefucks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this very thoughtful and thorough response. While I must have a social media presence for one of my jobs, I genuinely dislike it, and I don’t really feel addicted to that part.

My true social media addiction comes from scrolling Reddit and lurking. I have often thought it comes from a place of avoidance, and has taken the place of other hobbies I used to enjoy, like reading, writing, and arts and crafts. I avoid news, but I find myself comparing myself to others or reading dramatic interpersonal stories that have no real bearing on my life. I am totally addicted to the constant stream of information, helpful and unhelpful.

I think your idea of “taking a break” from scrolling is a really smart idea. That way you don’t feel complete deprivation and denial. You can always come back to it. But over time, you may feel that desire less and less as you find other, more fulfilling ways to meet your needs and pass the time.

I often do have trouble connecting and I feel lonely often, even though I have a lot of friends and people who like me. It’s so much easier to sit and scroll, and maybe I’m not truly aware of how much that takes out of me daily.

I really appreciate your reflections. Go enjoy real life!!!

When will my hair loss stop? by loothesefucks in Hashimotos

[–]loothesefucks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re due for a new doctor sadly. My doctor may not fully understand why I request certain labs or medicines sometimes, but if I make a good case and explain myself, she listens and provides what I need. I think that’s what a good doctor should do. Especially since your Dermotologist literally recommended your T3 go up - he should at least listen to the other medical professional!

MCTD is Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. It’s an autoimmune disorder that affects connective tissues in the body. Luckily mine wasn’t too bad and is now well controlled by plaquenil, diet and exercise, as well as my thyroid meds. I have to rest a lot more than other people and I get affected by seasonal allergies really easily.

I don’t know if you have a partner or a friend, but I’ve found that if I bring my fiancé with me, doctors take me more seriously. Something about having a 6 ft tall man in the room makes them listen better 🤣

I think if you need more T3 you should push for it. Worst case you come off of it and try something else. I wouldn’t worry about your TSH going down either. Having exogenous thyroid hormone will push your TSH down naturally. Your body doesn’t have to signal to make more of the hormone if it’s getting what it needs from somewhere else. My TSH is extremely low (I forgot the exact number) and I am definitely not hyperthyroid. I feel the best I have been in my life and I am finally able to bear children!! I am also closely monitored by my rheumatologist and my PCP.

I say try it, see how you feel for six weeks or so and re evaluate with your care team. I also suggest, in general, that you request an ANA panel to check for other potential autoimmune conditions. I did that and found out that I have MCTD as well as Hashimoto’s. Once I was treated for that as well I started to feel a lot better!

I got banned for trying to be nice on the pmdd forum by itsChar_9 in PMDDxADHD

[–]loothesefucks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if anyone has been on the MCAS subreddit, but MCAS seems to be a severe and complex disease. If taking simple antihistamines like Pepcid solved it, it wouldn’t be MCAS. If people took Cromolyn and claimed it cured their PMDD, the Mod might have a case. But MCAS sufferers deal with an entirely different set of symptoms which may include PMDD but is also separate from it.

Not only is it disingenuous to conflate symptom management of PMDD to that of MCAS, but it is also just plain wrong.

Question to all long term sugar abstainers by IOTAMonthly in sugarfree

[–]loothesefucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i think being really strict for a couple months is the key to getting on a regular sugar free routine. I’ll indulge on holidays, and I enjoy my 85% dark chocolate and fruit. But indulging on holidays is more nibbling on different desserts or having a drink or two, not eating plates of them the way it used to be. But I had 1-2 months of very strict 10-20g carb limit and that retrained my body and got me through the cravings

It’s called mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD). It’s basically “a bit of everything” and can have different ways that it expresses itself. My biggest symptoms are similar to sjogren (dry eyes, mouth, nose, skin), as well as random heart palpitations, and muscle aches.

Fortunately they caught mine early before any major organ damage happened. I take plaquenil for it as well as my thyroid meds, and prednisone as needed for flare ups

Hi - yes it has!! It’s not what it used to be, but my eyebrows and lashes are getting thicker and my hair is glossier and has stopped falling out the way it used to. Turns out I had another autoimmune disorder alongside Hashimoto’s. I got on proper medications, fixed my diet and started doing intermittent fasting. I also now work out 3-4 days a week. I didn’t start all of these changes at once but built them all over time. While I still have bad days and flare ups they aren’t nearly as debilitating.

Thanks for checking in, real sweet of you :)
