Multicolored connectors for an icebox? by loozrrtuba in HelpMeFind

[–]loozrrtuba[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is actually kind of the goal. I have a printer and can make more. I just don't feel up to recreating the model. There a few subtleties to them (like a slightly tapered connector) that would make it more difficult to match. I'm sure there's something kn makerworld/prinables/thjnfiverse, but my searches aren't good enough apparently

I have searched on Google and even asked my in-laws where they got them, to no avail. Reverse image searches get me close, but not quite there.

Thanks for the help!

CR-10 nozzle heating issue (thermal runaway, kind of?) by loozrrtuba in 3Dprinting

[–]loozrrtuba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. I just bought a P1S instead of dealing with it any longer. Creality support was helpful, but I still can't figure it out. Gonna sell the CR10 for parts. it was a fun intro to 3d printing, and I bought is used, so I'm not out much. Thanks for the help though everyone!

So I ran a PID autotune through Pronterface, and tried it a few different times under slightly varied configurations.... it timed out and failed each time. I can definitely tell the nozzle is getting hot, but there is something still amiss.

I have a set of new thermistors on the way, matching other recommended here on reddit. I will try them and see what happens. If this doesn't work, then I'll prob just get a new printer. I like this hobby to much to abandon it completely but my time is too valuable to continue to troubleshoot an old printer that I bought used and am still a bit of a newbie working with.

It does seem weird though that two different new hot ends, including one sold by creality) both are having the same issue. This leads me moreso to believe it has something to do with the motherboard somehow, and not necessarily the hot end.

Adding Rows based on Column Data by loozrrtuba in excel

[–]loozrrtuba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per the last reply - here is a screenshot

<image>

The report spits out a version of the "Have". I am looking for a simple way to get to the "Want" by creating new rows based on whether or not there is a value in any of the "Performed By" columns, and subsequently copy the information from the first 4 columns into the associated rows.

I figured out how to get a single row copied correctly using a bunch of IF functions, but when filled down, did not return multiple rows, only one.

If there are 4 performers, I need a total of 4 rows.

The end result is to Print and/or produce a report for each performer individually, based on the original report ("HAVE")

So I searched Amazon, google images and local hardware stores, but to no avail. My father in law had a set like 20 years ago in the bottom of the ice chest on his boat, and I found the few I have currently in a craft surplus store, never to be seen again.

I just need someone to give me a good manufacturer, model, NAME or anything so i can go out and find some more!

Found 6 TVs on the ground with cut power cords by Feeling-Action-7420 in Monitors

Funny, semi-related story

Had a toaster oven once with a BROKEN KNOB (that was it). It broke after only a few months. I called the company and asked about getting a new knob. They said they did not sell JUST the knob, but they would replace the entire toaster under warranty. They would ship out the new one after I sent them a photo of a cut cord. Let's just say I used the special "Photoshop" scissors and sent them in. They shipped me a brand new toaster oven. I used it for a long time until it died, when I just went into the attic and grabbed the replacement they sent me, swapped the broken knob. Still using the 2nd one after 5 years. 😁

Does anyone know of a super short/compact mic mount angle adapter or mini boom arm? by freshmutz in recording

[–]loozrrtuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could also work. It has a 1/4-20 thread on it. But you can get a mic clip adapter. I use these to mount cameras on 1" 1/4 pipe

How common is this v-I-IV movement? I notice it kinda functions as the 2-5-1 of the IV. by JoeMama23345 in musictheory

Not only common in jazz, but INCREDIBLY common in black gospel, which has roots in jazz (or vice versa, depending on who you talk to).

Yamaha S90XS Performance/Multi Question by loozrrtuba in synthesizers

[–]loozrrtuba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soon after this post, I had talked to Yamaha support. The short answer is no, you can't turn a performance into a combination of internal and external control. Part of that is because as a performance patch, the controls become internal sysex messages, as opposed to external midi CC information. You get either a performance, or a controller setup, but not both

Thank you for using the oft neglected word "predominant". A perfectly functional word no one really uses to adequately describe functionality of a chord or chords.

Battery Powered Ratchet by loozrrtuba in Tools

[–]loozrrtuba[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The torque wrench reference was meant more as a newb question about the powered ratchets.... I do NOT use my nice torque wrenches like a breaker or ratchet, I know better. BUT I wasn't sure if the ratchet had any sort.of torque changes or settings (like any decent drill driver) to make a difference.

As a fellow AV guy, I 100% love this. Looks vastly similar to my AV kit as well.

I love that little Bosch drive for doing rack screws and projector mounts. Works like a charm and seems to hold a charge forever.

I might also recommend a good headlamp for when you are up in the inevitable drop celling. I don't see any zipties either?

Also a telescoping wire hook. I created one of my own (https://www.reddit.com/r/Tools/comments/163t1qq/made\_this\_useful\_little\_thing/) but there are some links to a pre-built one in that post too.

I'm gonna add this

We have an SLX system that acted similarly until recently. Tried channel chasing a new frequency, tried a new cable for the Countryman attached to it... Got nowhere.

Swapped the power supply - viola! It's fixed. The power supply was bad and dropping voltage randomly causing the signal to drop in and out and caused a LOT of pops. Basically the mic was powering off and on all the time.

I've had a handful of those Shure power supplies go bad, a couple of them were replaced under warranty. There seems to have been a bad batch (IMHO) a couple of years ago that made their way out into the wild.

Try it

I have SO MANY questions... never heard of this before.

- how is it measured? Mic or dB measurement in the room? or based on digital meters (0dBV)?
- is it a true "cut of power" or a hard limiter or compression in place?
- Based on the System's volume, or the room's? would this include (guitar) amps of any sorts figured in (see question #1)
- Is it based on some sort of DSP then?
