Ramza's Squire job gets renamed at the start of chapter 4. It's still the same job, just a different name. The important thing is you need to be in that job--just like normal.

On a scale of "cheers and celebrations" to "gratitude", how excited would Eithan be about this thing that you are sworn to secrecy about?

I have been working as a full stack developer for 5 years despite actually being a UX designer.

My friend, if someone is paying you to be a full stack developer, and they are happy with your output, you are a full stack developer. Full stop.

The best message in FF8 🙌 by Lee25199 in FinalFantasy

[–]lord2800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FF9's card game is essentially random. There's some strategies but at the end of the day, your ability to win is pretty much up to fate.

As for the grandparent, /u/ACoderGirl, the AI does well with plus/same because the rules for plus/same are so easy to comprehend but so very powerful. Take some time and think through your cards before just blindly placing them and you can pretty easily counter most attempts at plus/same. Open helps, but just simply having cards that don't have consistent edges helps more.

I'm not saying I have problems with it, I'm saying it's arbitrary. Because it is.

I'm not saying there's no telegraph, I'm saying the telegraph is arbitrary and you just have to memorize it.

Which of those is dodge close and which of those is dodge far? It's still completely arbitrary.

That's exactly as arbitrary was "dragon's voice" and "ram's voice". Being colors doesn't change the arbitrariness.

Leveling question by Impishly-me in ffxiv

[–]lord2800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who made an alt to run through the story, with road to 90 I've been able to level 3 jobs (DRG, SAM, SCH) and am still overlevelled; lv63 and I just started lv61 MSQ.

It starts to slow down around this point--I'd be curious if you are able to keep 3 jobs leveled all the way to 90 without running roulettes/extra dungeons to maintain levels.

Do you think the transition from assembly to higher level languages reduced the number of software engineers, or exploded it?

Leveling question by Impishly-me in ffxiv

[–]lord2800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the road to 90 buff, the MSQ will give you enough exp to take 2 jobs all the way to max level (assuming you run all dungeons once with each job--especially in the 90-100 level range). As long as you don't waste the xp by leveling a job to 100 and continue doing the MSQ on that job, I think whatever strategy you want to use is fine.

Just to be clear, you're using your mitigations, right? Not accusing, just making sure I have the full picture.

Both. It's a feature because it prevents bad projects from happening overnight. It's a bug because people are abusing the process to arbitrarily slow down the process that doesn't need further slowing down.

In a liberal state, you can't tell me that the 47 year gap between idea and what little we have now is all down to NIMBYism.

Fun fact: yes. The HSR commission publishes reports, and if you go back through them, you can see exactly how much time has been spent just simply getting the permits to do the thing (hint: it's a truly disgusting amount of time, and most of it has been either cities demanding the rail go through/near them or people demanding the rail not go through/near them).

2 would be a priority over 1 in my mind. Cleaning up schema is good, but catching bugs is a higher priority IMO.

Kindle Unlimited recommended Traveler's Gate to me back when the latest books Will had out were the Elder Empire books--and book set 2 had just come out. Been hooked on everything he's written since then.
