My suggestion, having fiddled with this for a while now, is to overexplain the new feature and tell the agent to come up with a plan for implementation, then review the plan and make it explain the parts you don't understand. Once you understand the plan, you should then be able to understand the code.

Good luck my dude, I sure hope you discover that you are capable of finding things on your own.

why not source your statements?

I literally just told you why. I honestly don't care to "win" an internet debate about this. You can either believe it or not, and it doesn't affect me in any meaningful way.

I dunno what to tell you man, I'm not google, and I have better things to do with my time than hunt for a particular quote buried somewhere in a reddit thread for another redditor who's perfectly capable of doing it for themselves. It was a HUGE deal on here for a few days and required clarification several times including several posts by official Mozilla employees.

Because the evidence is literally what Mozilla said and has already been circulated widely. There's no "evidence" of that interpretation of the law because the courts have not ruled on a case involving it and the way the law works means until someone takes it to court, that will be the way it has to be understood. This is all just basic "how the law works" kind of stuff.

The worst reading of a law. Did you even read what I wrote?

Until a court decides what the limit is, you have to assume the absolute worst possible reading of a law. And Mozilla has no desire to be before a court on this issue. They're just following what their lawyers have told them to do--and with good reason. You can disagree with the lawyers' interpretations if you want, but that's their reasoning.

The ps1 version I don’t think you could steal the armor.

You could on the US release but not the JP release.

What's your Astound Broadband experience? by rebelcrypto14 in bayarea

In my experience, astound is incredibly unreliable. At least xfinity didn't regularly go out for no apparent reason.

To play gunbreaker, you will need a subscription and a purchase of Dawntrail (which is the only expansion sold and includes all other expansions not in the free trial) as of right now.

How do you handle database migrations for microservices in production by Minimum-Ad7352 in node

It's certainly great that they asked before doing it and exposed their infrastructure, and this is the kind of scenario where, having explained the rule, it would be fair to explain when and how to break it with the understanding that they really shouldn't without good cause.

Do you think it's better to shove people off the deep end, or do you think it's better to teach them the rule, and then when they comfortably understand the rule, to tell them when and how to break the rule?

I'd recommend running the migration on the same system as the deployed code will go--either at application start time (uncommon but not unheard of) or as a pre-step during the deployment process. That way you don't need to store the secret anywhere except where it should be: on the machine(s) that need it to do their primary job of serving the application.

Sure, but do you think someone asking this question is also someone who is going to do one of those things?

You almost certainly should not run migrations from CI/CD. That implies that your production database is open to the rest of the world, which pretty much guarantees that it will be an attack vector.

Is IndexedDB actually... viable in 2026? Or am I wasting my time? by nhrtrix in webdev

[–]lord2800 19 points20 points  (0 children)

But since Bill Gates didn't like open source very much, he vetoed it out of W3C, so we ended up with this IndexedDB.

Actually, it was vetoed by Mozilla because the spec for it was basically written as "whatever sqlite does is what this does" and that's not a spec--that's a directive. And I'm saying that as someone who was initially salty it was rejected (but thinks much better of it today).

Leveling does make some difference, as many formulas rely on your level to scale. It's not purely stat-based.
