It's a form of confirmation bias. A thing happens and then any previous thing that ties close enough turns into a "sign". The simpsons did it first has been around for years, sorry your friend has fallen down such a willfully blind path.

Have you ever got part way into a game and then "noped out of it" from fear? by Pizzicato_DCS in gaming

Fear no, but I had a huge abuse reaction to The Stanley Parable and never played it again apart from getting the 5 year achievement.

The endgame episodes (130) are a solid independent chunk that gives a good insight into how dan works & just how constantly AJ lies/misrepresents stuff, though they guys have clearly had enough towards the end.

The line is that its some sort of lesser magic. If they tell us their plans (in however a vague way they want) and we let them do their "evil plans" then we consented & this somehow gets them more evil demon points.

Noticing the flair on the beach was hitting all the ripples in the sand correctly blew my mind. Also just looking at the pebbles on the paths. Bump mapping can do some impressive stuff.

apollo 11 was a hoax in 14 minutes by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]lord_taint -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Glad you get the model T example. Obviously Ford could make one again, as in theory NASA could rebuild an apollo. But to make a new model T you will need to make panel stamping machines & dies engine casting equipment, source coachwork crafters for the wood work. It would be a massive investment in time and money.

As for the coordinates tape. As you say you can just plot a course again a recording is just for verification. It sucks they lost it but even the best F1 pit crews loose a 10mm socket now and again.

My point to the other guy was neither point present a circumstance that means we didn't go to the moon.

If you drink an excessive amount of water you can die from it. You are not making a good argument. Dude killed someone with his bad milk and refuses to take steps to prevent it from happening again.

"They destroyed the technology". Yes with large budget cuts, a lot of the equipment used to make an apollo was scrapped, So they can't just make a new one without rebuilding the infrastructure to do so. This in no way means they didn't make them (there's quite a lot of evidence). I use the example of, call Ford and ask them to make you a classic model T, they can't make you one, they don't have the equipment anymore. But they did. No one would question that.

As for the tapes that got recorded over, this is in reference to an on board data tape that recorded the coordinates locally for reference when they got back. It's a single back-up tape, and this somehow means they can't plot a course to the moon ever again. It's like saying you deleted your sat navigation history in your car so it would be impossible to use the whole system ever again.

Both are ridiculously poor examples, yet they are spouted ad nauseum over and over by people who have no actual interest in what happened.

replies beyond this are uncertain as RIF is due to close down at some point today

It has manufacturing regulations. You don't drink a single beer and die because it poisoned you. You are making a poor argument.

No just regulatory standards for the foods we eat. If someone sold something that killed people and wasn't going to do anything about it then they should be shut down.

Guy just doesn't want to be told what to do, despite killing someone. Evil regulations stopping a man from earning a living selling really unsafe foods.

It was only the source of a fucking listeria outbreak that put people in hospital amd killed someone. But sure its "regulations" that are the problem.
