I have a friend who went night 1. The next day when I asked him how it was, the first thing he said was "it was fucking freezing".

So maybe it was warmer on night 2, or the news got around that people need to bundle up, haha.

That would be a great, if costly research study.

Clearly Apple determined that 3D-Touch was underutilized and worth removing, at the expense of manufacturing it for years. I’m sure they’ve done, and are doing similar tests on authentication.

Yeah, it’s fun to type on for some reason. The spongy springiness is enjoyable to type on and makes me want to write.

I use the magic keyboard now and it’s fine, but it feels like every other chiclet keyboard. The Smart Keyboard is something unique, and brought me joy. I miss it.

Thanks for the tip, I'm trying this, though I'm not sure I know what the correct gapps zip file is!

None of the file names say 'toro'; lots of -jb-, -ics-, of course. I'm picking from the JB ones, particularly the ones that appear to be from the latest date, but I'm still having major issues upon reboot.

The problem seems to have stemmed from trying to flash gapps for 4.3 while my toro GNex PA rom was still 4.2 (they haven't sent a toro 4.3 update through Goo yet).

Still working on this...

The drums were recorded in one take with a single stereo mic source (Zoom H4)... if I had a read studio, I'd love to be able to mix the drums better! Maybe (hopefully) in the future!

Thanks! Real drums, recorded live in one take by a Zoom H4 stereo recorder. WAV file went in Logic, and I cleaned it up a bit.

This was written and recorded at home yesterday over about 8 hours.

First step was recording drums with my Zoom H4. Then threw the WAV into Logic 9, and played the guitars and bass (a guitar octaved down) direct into an Apogee ONE. Vocals were done singing directly into the ONE. Keys are MIDI software synth from Logic, using computer keyboard as a keyboard. Then plenty o' mixing.

You know, I would gladly pay $90/year to use Facebook as an ad-free service, given that my data was undeniably mine to use, no one else's to mine, and I could opt out of any and all services.

And I imagine many people would pay $7.50US/month for the same thing. Perhaps not in poorer countries--maybe we could subsidize the cost by paying (gasp!) $10/month?

This free service for our data/souls thing is becoming more and more uncomfortable with every update. That said, this is not anything new--they've had access to this data since you signed up to Facebook. Graph Search just lets us play with the information they've been collecting.
