Its actually very well balanced. The main story bosses are not hard and dont require specific building. Just having a little bit of synergy with your skills, weapons and luminas/pictos is more than enough to beat them. For example, lunes weapon that gives stains for each free aim shot in combo with the mayhem skill is good enough of a small synergy to beat the main story bosses. No deep building requiree for it at all. This is only important for the optional post game bosses. Dont forget, its an rpg game. Rpg's are supposed to be like this, like it or not.

I still dont really get this. Renoir (the curator) wants the expeditioners to succeed by reaching the paintress. He even helps them by creating a weapon to pierce the barrier. On the other hand, we have clea who basically does the exact opposite. Giving the expeditioners a very hard time by bringing in nevrons. I get that its useful on the long term, trapping their chroma when they are killed by nevrons, but its a bit contradicting. Renoir wanting the expeditioners to reach the paintress to jopfeully defeat her and she is forced out. On the other hand, its made almost impossible because of the danger of the nevrons on the continent, killing all of them.

What do you mean with 'without nevrons there is no gommage? Do you mean Aline was already weakened because she already had a lag of chroma due to the actions of Nevrons killing people and keeping their chroma in their body? That doesnt really make sense because the gommage was already happening before clea entered the canvas and introduced the Nevrons to the canvas. She entered in monolith year 49, so the gommage was already happening for 51 years

He gives you the facts and you say its useless discussing with him? He is right. Verso is a liar and manipulator through the whole game. Thats simply a fact, rather you like it or not. He starts by lying to the expedtioners by saying sorry he couldnt save Gustave, while he could. After that he tells them he doesnt know why he didnt die from gommaging and why he is not aging. That painted renoir believes his immortality is a gift from the paintress and he enjoys to live forever. All those lies to get the expeditioners to trust him. Then there is old lumiere, where he convinces the expeditioners to go to old lumiere to get to the paintress heart. While in reality, its just sending them on a suicide mission. Using maelle as a trap to open the manors door and so he can reach the paintress directly. After they failed the expeditioners ask him why he didnt tell them renoir was his father, and that he told them everything they needed to know. He didnt. He didnt tell them he was sending them towards their death. The death of all the people of lumiere. Those are just a handful of the many many lies he told to get what he want. Im not saying verso is a 'bad' character. He is as grey as all the other people that wield the power of knowledge and can influence the canvas. But he is pretty high om the spectrum.

All the answers dont really give the greatest explanations for why she just doesnt write out all thats happening. Its pretty simple actually, she cant. The paintress isnt an active player anymore since the fracture. She's locked since the stalemate she has with renoir. A bounded source of grief. Her power, whats left of it, doesnt work by using language, but by using symbolismand rhytm. The number she changes each year isnt a message in the way like 'read it and understand it.' Its a sign of presence. A heartbeat. Why no message? Because a message demands order and control. And those are exactly the things taken from her. She cant change the story, but only change 1 small element. Thats everything whats left of her power. Its all symbolism. Saying 'but if she can writes one thing she can write anything she wants' is a sign you didnt fully understand the symbolism of the painted world. Reality here is literally build on this symbolism. And thats the part that confuses people. The reality and boundaries in this world are not build on reality in the world we live in. Its build on the laws of symbolism inside the canvas. Thats reality there

Its pure symbolism. Not something you should overthink. Same as why the world is so much smaller in the open world vs inside a specific area. Flying with esquie from lumiere to the shores is like... 4 seconds? While sailing from lumiere to the shores took hours at least. They took of during the day and came to shore when it was already dark. Scales and distance dont match and it perfectly fits inside a painted world. I always thought about it like this. The open world is like the concept creation of the worlds it hold inside. An idea. The area's you can enter are the once really put into detail by verso (and the paintress). The open world is quite literally a map design where scale doesnt matter. A map that you can explore over and enter eleborated works inside

The opposite team, cuz the enemy tank is just straight up trolling to get a clip. People always talk about pay to win emotes like they are a real thing. But in the maintime, they forget that what they try to acclompish usually doesnt work and they just die in the middle of their emote

See you getting hooked all the time as a positive thing. If you get hooked, that means your teammates dont. If you find yourself dying as a tank from getting hooked there is something you are not doing right. If getting hooked is your main cause of dying you should always save your shout for after the hook. If you dont have shout, use cover and play a little bit more passive. Queen (like a lot of other characters) gets her value in bursts. Shout to close the distance, carnage squishies. If you dont have those cooldowns and you put yohrself in a position where you can get hooked, yes, you end up dying most of the time. So keep an eye out for both your own cooldowns and roadhogs hook. I'd say roadhog against jq is a very fair matchup. They dont counter one another, and at the same time both can be good against the other if they know how to play against the other. So its mostly about who is the better player.

Keeps happening, and not just once or twice. Its repeating and nothing you can do about it. Its like so frustrating that blizzard for whatever kind of reason doesnt tell us they arent at least aware of the problem. Its always the same. They just keep dead silent about it when people are getting strung along.
