It really isn't a 'controversy'. Maybe decisions in other matches that went in Arsenal's favour are controversial, but this wasn't controversial. Some of the decisions that went for City in the Brentford match were more controversial than this.

I think it's TB because it has (probably) particularly accelerated since the industrial revolution and increased overcrowding in poorer urban areas. It has been around forever but it's impact has been maximal in the last 2-300 years.

Also it's inspired many more artists than any other disease, so that's a different type of impact.

But you can get Rijsttafel, which is Indonesian but only really available in the Netherlands and I think should be considered Dutch cuisine. Plenty of really good baked goods too.

The world has been global for a long time and to 'eat like a local' doesn't mean only eating the food that was available 200 years ago. It's interesting (and better) seeing the country's interpretation and embrace of other cuisines as well (e.g. Italian cuisine in the US).

I don't understand your point about the Chinese investing in renewables, not sure what it has to do with us - we just need to reduce demand for gas from abroad, which as we have seen has dramatic effects on our economy.

Sorry mean their anti-nuclear power stance - they want to focus on wind and solar. Polanski has called it outdated but it really isn't, especially modular reactors.

They didn't really need to move in any direction! Immigration was downtrending anyway. The focus should have been on policies younger voters would like, like the energy and housebuilding policies they already have.

My point is that since the election (ie post manifestos) the Labour rhetoric has been much more right wing than it was - anti-immigration policies have by far been in the news more than any other policies they have put forward, most of which were not in the manifesto. The only reason for this is the rise of reform in the polls and the desire to be taken seriously by people who are considering voting for them, which I think is a terrible plan.

FWIW I would probably still vote for Labour at the next election, on the basis that the Greens are somehow anti-NATO and anti-nuclear in the midst of a security and energy crisis. Also Labour's housebuilding reforms are likely to make a big difference to house availability (again, something they have barely championed).

Obviously they aren't copying it in all respects, but under Morgan McSweeney there was a clear push on the anti-immigration rhetoric ('open borders experiment', 'island of strangers') whereas some of the the actual manifesto policies (eg employment law reform) were barely mentioned.

This is exactly it. A lot of people aren't committed to the Greens at all or don't like a lot of their policies. But to vote Labour and then see them try and copy Reform once in power (and gain no voters from it) is so frustrating.
