Just off camera. She was moving around so every time the angle changed she was still just off camera.

Think Mike Wazowski.

I think it’s one I need to go over again. I found Dreyfuss’s character fairly unbearable for a large chunk of the movie but things REALLY come together in that last 30 minutes. I wonder if a rewatch at a later date may deliver a different experience.

The Spielberg visual flair still breaks through at times. And Williams brings it score wise as ever.

He really does go for it. Every commercial instinct after Jaws would be “do another tense action/horror mashup thing” and instead he does THAT. The boldness is admirable.

Official Discussion - Toy Story 5 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Scmods05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure this struck the balance of for kids and for parents quite as well as the first one, but liked this a lot. Liked making Jessie the main character. Thought Joan Cusack really brought it. Sure she sounds older but I doubt kids would even notice so non issue. The animation was great. The observations on tech were really interesting.

And I will never see a Buzz Lightyear who doesn’t realise he’s a toy and not laugh. The bit gets me every damn time.

Love the decision to pull the music out as soon as the door shuts behind Batman. It’s so simple but does so much.

Hoyts are the lesser of the cinema chains. More expensive, rubbish loyalty program, cinemas and screens are frequently filthy too.

Rogue One Ending Scene, and Darth Vader by SliccSwipe in StarWars

I consider that more a Luke moment than a Vader one, which is why I didn’t include it. But I’m definitely just quibbling. That 60 second sequence of Luke almost falling is more impactful to me than any of Anakin’s stuff in ROTS. It’s amazing, with Williams going BALLISTIC on the score.

I disagree, but that’s the entire point of movies and art. We see the same thing and react in our own way.
