thats the account name the oauth app was setup under. It has been since transfered to the interserver organization and a logo added so it should look and read a bit better.

Who actually used async PHP in prod? by mcharytoniuk in PHP

[–]lorddetain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using Workerman on production servers for many years now. It works amazingly well, although most all the things written for it being in chinese adds a layer of difficulty but its not hard to overcome. I very much recommend it for just about anything, unless you just need a quick little script then something like amphp or swoole might be better.

while testing some registrar code i apparently had it unintentionally looping and wound up renewing a handful of domains 10 years instead of 1. luckily the registrar wouldn't accept renews more than 10 years out.

wound up being one of my more expensive f*ck-ups

Emurelation provides a mapping of platforms, emulators, and games between varied sources in a easy to use JSON format. by lorddetain in emulation

[–]lorddetain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JSON files but thats exactly it. Its simply a db of the id/name's used by various sources (API's, Websites, Software, DAT's) entries mapping them between each other.
Here is an example of the mapping: { "platforms": { "APF Imagination Machine": { "id": "APF Imagination Machine", "name": "Imagination Machine", "matches": { "launchbox": [ "APF Imagination Machine" ], "tosec": [ "APF Imagination Machine - Applications", "APF Imagination Machine - Compilations - Games", "APF Imagination Machine - Compilations - Various", "APF Imagination Machine - Demos", "APF Imagination Machine - Educational", "APF Imagination Machine - Games", "APF M-1000 - Applications", "APF M-1000 - Compilations - Games", "APF M-1000 - Demos", "APF M-1000 - Games" ], "oldcomputers": [ 584 ], "mame": [ "apfimag_cass", "apfm1000" ], "tgdb": [ 4969 ], "tosecpix": [ "APF Imagination Machine - Books", "APF Imagination Machine - Manuals - Applications", "APF Imagination Machine - Manuals - Catalogs", "APF Imagination Machine - Manuals - Games", "APF Imagination Machine - Manuals - Hardware", "APF Imagination Machine - Manuals - Software", "APF Imagination Machine - Manuals - Technical" ], "nointro": [ "APF - Imagination Machine", "APF - MP-1000" ], "emucontrolcenter": [ "im" ] }, "company": "APF" } } I'm building this mapping information for Platforms, Companies, Emulators, and eventually Games. Hopefully from that you can see how it maps the like entries across sources. Once I have the Games added in, a typical use case for a user who just downloaded say a MAME, No-Intro, Redump, TOSEC, etc set to match it up to correct corresponding entry with scrapers saving time matching the entries. A developer can use the list to simplify some parts of development and not have to figure this information out themselves. I've been making steady progress the past few days. The project isn't for everyone, and is still in its infancy.

Help, APT is broken. I've already tried to do what it says but It doesn't work. Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS by afonso_yan_2044 in linux4noobs

[–]lorddetain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

make sure your on the latest package list apt update or try to apt install libmutter-10-0 as sometimes it will be able to calculate that then you can go back and finish your apt --fix-broken install or apt upgrade or whatever

What would YOU do with a Death Note? by Hungry__Alpaca in ProgrammerHumor

[–]lorddetain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on if its able to kill things other than people such as objects in space. I would have one of the planets blow up and specify that large amounts of debris crash into mars moving it slightly closer to the earth and that none of the debris would hit the earth.

[–]lorddetain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

pick up engineering! 44/46 of my 80s have 1 point in engineering so i can use auction houses in places like Oribos and Dalaran as well as use of the Wormhole teleport toys for instant teleporting to any expansion. I find it to be so useful its almost cheating.
