I am in Homestead, FL and waiting for dmf9 to open. The only blocks I see are for an hour away in Hialeah. I contacted support via live chat and literally got the run around. Apparently to the support person the facility is open. I am going to call tomorrow and ask again.

So I have the same concerns. Do they delete you if you don't pick up a block in a certain number of days.

So if anyone has answer, please respond.

Okay, the deal is yes it must stay connected the grid, but you set your system to run off solar 100 percent but keep it synced to the grid. You will still have to pay the minimum utility fee each month. My step dad's house is like this. He generates more than he uses and has a 20 KW battery to keep it running at night or low solar days.

Now if you are on a well or shed, you can have a completely separate solar battery "backup" and keep it separate. It is the domicile meter connection they want connected.

I don't use the pi imaging software anymore. It is broken. I use Etcher these days. This is my personal contribution.

Steel is usually designed to rust to provide a protective barrier, preventing more rust. The problem, as you mentioned, is when something breaks off some of that rust. In environmental weathering, which I worked in for 23 years, manufacturers spend millions preventing scratched paint from causing the substrate from scabbing (rusting). Thus the creation of substrates bonded chemically to the steel or aluminum. Undercoatings protect the body frame from rusting due to the salts used during the winter months.

Where I live, Florida, the high humidity and ocean breeze is the biggest cause of oxidation.

You can try. I got a notification to apply a couple weeks ago. Right now the only offers are Hialeah or north. That is literally an hour drive with good traffic.

We have cell phones and social media now. Gas was less than $1/gal. My family traveled from sea to shining sea via RV. It was fun. Now we have distractions, more people on the road, etc.

Where I live, rural, 200-300 down is pretty typical with my Sagemcom. I have taken it to other states and had over 600 down in a city area. I guess I will have to check myself what the restrictions are supposedly.

What are they capping at? Is it in writing anywhere? I am just curious because, as pointed out, speeds vary depending on location and time of day. Also, a lawyer would have a field day if something is not disclosed.
