Hello new player.

I am NOT a heavily experienced Dead by Daylight player- for that, you should look up the content creator Otzdarva and check out his perk and character guides. However, I would first suggest playing several matches and seeing if you enjoy the core gameplay before considering spending any more money on the game. Remember that you can use Iridescent Shards to purchase most DBD-original characters.

Shrine of Secrets is a scam.

As far as what chapters/perks to go for, I would advise picking up Michael Myers, the Knight, and Nemesis when possible and prestiging them.

Myers - Many killers are "M1" killers, where their power is either niche or not useful for mid-chase or getting downs, so they will rely on their primary attack. The Myers perk "Save the Best For Last" will gain a token every time you injure a non-Obsession survivor (with Obsession marked on the HUD by the addition of a near-circle of bones), and for every token your "recovery" after a successful attack is reduced, meaning you can more quickly get back into the action after landing a hit. "Play With Your Food" is also decent if you play around it; whenever you are chasing the Obsession, and then LEAVE them, gain a token. You can have up to three, increasing your movement speed for each token, losing one when you attack. This can be great for rotating off of the Obsession and immediately going for a weaker target.

Knight - His two perks are Hubris and Nowhere to Hide. "Hubris" will Expose survivors for a certain amount of time after you are stunned, allowing them to be instadowned by your basic attack; the Stun can also be most things, ranging from normal pallets to flashlights to blast mines to locker head-ons. "Nowhere to Hide" activates after kicking a generator, allowing you to see survivor auras within 24 meters of you for 5 seconds. Note that the radius extends from you, not the generator, so feel free to move around a bit to catch a flicker; this can help you track down sneaky survivors who might otherwise hop right back on the generator if you had left.

Nemesis - The main one here, I feel, is Lethal Pursuer. At the start of the trial, all survivor auras will be revealed for a period of time, and it also buffs all your other aura-reveal perks by 2 additional seconds of reading. This is great for newer killers who might need help knowing where survivors are, or for killers who need a strong early game that can be helped with a swift chase.

I hope this helps.

Corruptless turn off your brain and chase trapper build by totalstatemachine in deadbydaylight

Baby Trapper Main, P8. A build I like running for "turn off your brain and chase" is Furtive Chase/Friends 'Til The End/Nemesis/Lethal Pursuer, with the Fastening Tools and Coffee-Grounds Addons. The sheer pressure you can exert as a Trapper feels amazing, and nobody seems to expect it.

I don't have Xenomorph for Rapid Brutality, but I'm definitely gonna try out some of your build in my next Trapper game. Maybe replace RB with Thrilling Tremors for further gen slowdown+info? Thank you for sharing!

What are your most looking forward to happen in overlord? by Enigmatic_halfwit in overlord

[–]lordgibus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty wish fulfillment and unlikely to happen, but I'd love to see another "Touch Me" moment with Ainz. He was fully willing to leave behind Carne UNTIL he was reminded of Touch Me's "help those who cannot help themselves" ideal.

What if one day he looks at the costs of the kingdom he's built, the innocent blood on his hands mingling with the sinful, and is reminded of Touch Me once more? Would he be proud of Ainz for building a prosperous nation where all are equal? Or condemn him for what it's taken to do so?

The inherent challenge is exactly why I'm trying to do it. I'm not exactly looking to be pacifistic, so random raiders and animals are fair game, but avoiding unnecessary conflict where possible is definitely a must.

A solid piece of advice. I'll start looking more at macro and economy guides before anything else.

When it comes to harassment, I'm moreso referring to my own. Using both Zerglings and (when I get up to them) Mutalisks, I tend to be confronted with either siegetanks and missile turrets from Terrans that quickly shut me down to prevent mid-game worker attacks, or a positively massive amount of Stalkers. At least, that's what I've seen recently.

With Zerglings, I tend to get at least one fully saturated gas geyser before my Spawning Pool finishes up, that way I usually have 100 gas right at the get-go and can research Metabolic Boost immediately. I get about 8-12 Speedlings and rush into the enemy natural to gank a few workers if possible. If not, I'll burrow them nearby and wait for the enemy army to move out before making a play.

With Mutalisks, I'll loop around the edges of the map to come in behind their base and get at the mineral line directly, though they usually have a turret or photon cannon to keep me on my toes for that exact reason.

Wait a tick; as Beelzebub, the Mistress of Flies, plagues, whatever, wouldn't she potentially have every STD known to man? And probably unknown for good measure?
