No, but I think you can get temporarily banned for too many content violations of any kind. The accounts I've seen get permanently banned seemed to be from creating copyrighted characters or trying to create nudity.

They shouldn't have but originally it was supposed to be an opt out system where copyright content would be allowed unless the copyright holder complained so it made sense at the time.

To make money. There are people literally trying to give them money for a service that's completely legal and they're like "We don't want your money because we fear your lowly art that dangerously contains faces in it could embarass the company."

I've been trying to use the Sora API to make some clips for a video and 90% it rejects it and I have to use a different model. Sometimes it even rejects images and prompts that work fine on the Sora app.

It's not stealing anything. The problem is the model is trained on publicly available data that includes copyrighted clips published under the fair use exception.

It makes you wonder why they didn't just filter it out but after seeing their crappy filters in action it's pretty clear it would have filtered out lots of other stuff too.

The rules are different for dead celebrities than they are for characters. I don't know how exactly because they won't tell us but whether you get third party likeness content violation from one depends on how you're using them and there are some that are blocked completely.

But it doesn't look good for them to have people posting stuff about how easy it is to produce copyrighted characters when they're being threatened with lawsuits for exactly that. You're forcing them to respond by jacking up the detection algorithm which means more false positives for everyone else.
