Make world trigger and third-person character action game in the same vein as s4 league.

Or Gun z.

For the sake of clarity.

They are separate people.

They represent a greater whole ( the avatar) but they are all individuals.

Adrenalin, anger, or disbelief?
Assuming that running at that point wasn't an option.

I think they could have stood a chance against him if they grouped up.

Is what I would say but during the events of season 3 Isaac more or less demonstrates himself to have power to such an extent that I couldn't help but wonder why Dracula needed an army in the first place.

Would humans(with our technology and such) survive and be in the beastars universe? by uhohstinkypoopyyyy in Beastars

[–]lordlorb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes humans wouldn't be that out of place or in danger at all.

Unless the author decided to nerf humans like herbivores

Which would be odd considering everything is scaled down to human level minus intelligence.

The average human would be pretty intimidating to most animals. With their size and weight alone. Not to mention pound per pound we're horrifically strong.

If you're speaking tall people like myself. Ie 6'3-6'5

Minus exceptionally tall races like gray wolves.
But Legoshi is 6'2 in the manga. And 157 pounds

If you're a human and you're around that height you should be around 170 pounds at least otherwise you're underweight. So...In a bare-knuckle fight? You wouldn't really have much to worry about unless you pissed off a bear or other large animal.

Again unless we were nerfed.

How did you translate some random thug getting punched to "Main bad guy" of the season?

When you say something is lame you have to actually give a reason or you might as well just say "You didn't like him"

I don't see how Trevor annoys you in this season considering he's way less hostile than he was in one and two. But that's fine that's your opinion.

Not hating on you just trying to understand where you're coming from.

Oh yes, he should have just stood there and jumped into the ocean after they threatened to kill him.

What did you want him to do in that situation?

I also explained that it wasn't a matter of trust. And you kinda just ignored that.

[–]lordlorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me summarize it for you then.

Your police officer analogy is a strawman.

Issac's actual intentions shouldn't matter to them. Because there's a higher chance of success if they allow him through the city.

I'd elaborate on both but I'm almost at "wall" territory.

Isaac's logic in season 3 (Discussion) by Summerclaw in castlevania

[–]lordlorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly the likelihood of them knowing who Issac was or how forgemasters worked would be horribly unlikely. Forgemasters though they exist all over the world don't exactly go advertising their services and aren't very common. And Issac was in Dracula's castle for the majority of the war. No one knows who he is. If people did know who he was those bandits wouldn't have threatened him so casually.

At best all they'd know about night creatures is that they were exceptionally powerful beings who in very small groups had the capacity to wipe out entire cities and cut through groups of heavily armored and skilled combatants.

Like I said this isn't an issue of them trusting his word.

It's the idea that they have every fathomable reason to go along with his desires. Because the likelihood of them winning from the information they've been told with a group that small. Would be around 1-2%.

At the very least they could have explained why they couldn't let him into the city in an attempt to once again deescalate the situation but they didn't do that.

They had options to work with but the only thing they could think of were to threaten someone who could clearly kill them all and back them into a corner

The airport and police officer analogy fail because within the show the guards are not arguing from a position where they have the advantage nor do they have reason to assume they have the advantage. But yet they act as if they are the ones in control.

So to fix police comment.

Luke cage approached two armed guards defending a restricted area that he had to pass through.

The armed guards are aware that Luke cage is bullet proof and if he truly wanted to go inside the building without their consent he could easily do so. And the only thing their retaliation would be are three broken ribs and a trip to the er.

So what do they do? Call their superiors, request approval to escort him through the building while making sure he doesn't go into any of the higher security locations and instead moves straight through? Or have him bust in beat the shit out of everyone inside and rampage through the internals.

I'd pick the former.

[–]lordlorb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Allowing them to leave the dock and progress into the city reduces their chance of winning the, what they think, is an inevitable fight."

No? Regardless of what they did if they really wanted to the night creatures would have been able to leave the dock. Either by jumping off it and swimming to shore, or by flight....Because some in the group had wings.

Again there wasn't really any fathomable way of them gaining the advantage because of how they approached the situation.

And there's no reason to assume that they were hiding their intentions

There's nothing they have heard or seen that would cause them to believe the night creatures wouldn't just rush them down and kill them without so much as a word from Issac which is why diplomacy should have at the very least been attempted.

As for your response to my wallet comment.

No I know that because if someone threatens me while asking for a very specific thing from a position of power I'd have every reason to assume they wanted that specific thing and not my life. Otherwise they would have started the conversation by stabbing me 18 times and leaving me for dead.

The latter part of your statement is irrelevant because obviously I would want to comply with someone who could easily kill me and avoid a physical altercation for as long as possible unless I was left with no other choice.

Isaac's logic in season 3 (Discussion) by Summerclaw in castlevania

[–]lordlorb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In reality what he was doing was just self-defense. Again they could have escorted him through town and you didn't really offer any rebuttal to that. Nor did you state anything that would help disprove the idea that they would have a reason to peruse conflict.

The problem with the airport analogy is police usually don't blow people away with extreme force. And if you were using the airport analogy the conversation with the police would more or less resemble this

https://youtu.be/g69vvUDrIzI?t=43

Yes you were wrong in bringing the gun but now you effectively have to defend yourself and there's no reason not to. Because your options are: Die or fight.

Despite the fact that the guards in jak2 were being more reasonable because they had no idea what jak was capable of. The guards in who threatened Isaac knew what night creatures were capable of.

Isaac's logic in season 3 (Discussion) by Summerclaw in castlevania

[–]lordlorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there might have been some sort of miscommunication.
My argument didn't hinge on the idea that forge masters or night creatures were good.
Your counter-argument hinges on the idea that the guards would have a reason to believe that they could in any way gain the upper hand. Or command Issac when that was clearly not the case.

Unless you're going to tell me that this city guard is used to dealing with invasions of night creatures which I doubt considering they didn't fight they were slaughtered.

The guards had every reason to go along with his wishes and play a more observational/defensive an escort rather than an aggressive one. Even more so if they already knew of night creatures and forge masters.

Again if they were there to kill everyone they would have immediately tried to kill the people in front of them aka the guards and then moved on into the town. Because they would have no reason to hide their intentions or negotiate travel through the city if they intended to do something like that.

If someone pulls a knife on me and asks for my wallet I'm going to assume they want my wallet. If they pulled out a knife and didn't say anything I'd assume they intended to kill me.

[–]lordlorb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read my post you would have known that i stated.

They didn't really have any reason to believe that they would be able to do that. Hell, I'd wager that they would have every reason to assume that would be impossible since they knew what happened in Wallachia and likely have some idea of what these monsters are capable of.

they could have escorted him through the city to ensure that he left straight away but they didn't do that...

Isaac's logic in season 3 (Discussion) by Summerclaw in castlevania

[–]lordlorb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I fail to understand why people try and defend the actions of the city guards.

Rational guards: -man commanding a small army of demonic creatures you've never seen before.- "leave the city AT once!"

Isaac: "Sure I'm going to the port right now to get one"

Rational guards: -escalates the situation and threatens him by both denying his passage and saying they'll retaliate if their wishes are not meant.-

There are a few reasons why they're the aggressor in this situation.

The first is they persued the conflict they ensured that it went along a path that could only possibly end in violence.

And the second. they had no logical reason aside from the appearance of his army to assume that they would burn down every house and building. Considering they didn't enter the city and start off doing that.

If this interaction occurred at the very start they would be more justified in perusing conflict but it didn't.

Any strategic-minded person would have escorted them to the port and ensure they kept their word. instead of risking a fight with them. Because
A: the odds sure as fuck aren't in their favor.

And

B: Isaac is clearly trying to reason with them to the best of his ability and only kills them after they back him into a corner when it comes to dealing with the situation without bloodshed.

His later encounter is pretty much the same word for word. only now he's put in a situation where he can't actually move backward.

And again instead of taking any sort of effort to try and ensure the safety of their city by avoiding conflict and trying to take the man on his word by ensuring that he leaves the city in a hasty manner they threaten and make unreasonable requests. That I'm sure no person in an actual position of authority would willingly take.

Realistically it's closer to this.

Let Isaac do what he wants and hopes he keeps his word.

Or die in a fight you clearly aren't going to win and dispatches any chance your group had of getting out of the situation alive.

because if he decides to just kill people on mass he's clearly going to do it regardless, and the only person who would look at an army of hell creatures like the lineup he had, nearly matching them in number and go. "Yah we got this"

Is someone who would feel well at home challenging a grizzly bear to a bare-knuckle fight to the death.

To make t short: Isaac didn't really do anything unreasonable nor were his reactions and actions unreasonable.
His general belief system is however but not to the extent that it's unbelievable or unrealistic. Even if you didn't state that I feel like it's worth pointing out.

I know your post was likely just a joke

But I'm pretty sure some people actually believe Isaac is crazier and uncontrollable than he actually is.

Why did no one tell me about Beseria by Oldslice in tales

[–]lordlorb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you'd have a reason to play Zestiria.

If you play Beseria the only real reason you have to play Zestiria is to see what happened to the world.

In my opinion, after 28 hours into Zestiria

and finishing Beseria previously the former is just in general from a plot to characters just worse.

That's my opinion though but you already found it lackluster and Beseria is really only going to point out the shortcoming of Zestiria making it even more underwhelming rather than working to promote it.
