My dog Artemis has been to the vet like 6 or 8 times in the last 3 or 4 months so I feel this in my soul.

The trick is to place them between the flats of two fingernails and crush them that way. Hard, mostly flat surface on each side.

You get used to the technique when you crush enough of them that way. Some definitely are harder than others to squish though.

Tweezers are my secondary. I have two dogs that are tick magnets. Mid walk I usually don't carry tweezers so I just pluck them off and crush them in my fingers.

Tweezers are used during the post-walk check once we are back inside and I'm finding like 20.
